Joining beauty pageants entails a lot of hard work. Its not just having a pretty face or having a gorgeous body but also requires good communication skills. Sabi nga, total package. Immaterial kung English, Tagalog, Bisaya or Taglish basta naiparating mo sa mga tao kung ano ang mensahe mo. Having said that, kulang talaga sa communication skills si candidate. Oo nga sikat sya, pero she will be representing the country. Sasabihin ng iba, wag i-judge. Eh lahat ng activities ng pageant ginagawa para tingnan ano capabilities ng mga candidates. Eh di judging ang ginagawa ng mga judges and staff para madetermine kung sino karapatdapat. Tingin nyo ba, dito pa lang sa pinakita ng subject natin, papasa? Lets be realistic!

We take beauty pageants seriously here in Philippines. Herlene is nice and beautiful. But she should have composed herself well. Beauty pageant is not just about candidates who are true to who they are but as well as being a good role model to others. She should know when to act modest and when to show her normal personality. As frank as it may seem, but may it be a lesson to her and take all the criticism thrown for her to improve, not to defend herself anc insist that she's just being true. A person will never grow being like that. Pageant is pageant, not a mere interview, she should know the difference. And if joining pageants just to prove she's beautiful and as a revenge to the people who hurt her, I guess she's not in the right page. But if it's in her heart na sumali talaga dahil may advocacy cya then she should train more and act as a true beauty queen. Ika nga, wag kang pupunta sa gyera ng hindi armado. She's not just bringing her name but the whole country if ever she would win. So maybe she really needs more training, not just physically to have a beautiful face and body, but most especially PERSONALITY TRAINING. After that, my gosh she would be even BETTER!

Hinanap ko ang video na ito dito sa KZbin dahil ang dami ko nang nakikitang FB posts and comments about Harlene's answer. Okay lang na mag-Tagalog, like what other candidate did and umamin pa na kinakabahan sya, but was able to hear and answer the question. "Looong" ang sinabi ng nagtanong kay Harlene but very short lang naman ang tanong, "Aside from your big following in social media, what else do you have to win this competition?" Sadly, hindi ito narinig or naintindihan ni Harlene, kahit na this was the last thing mentioned and pinaulit pa nya. At hindi rin nya nasagot ng maayos at direkta ang tanong. Somebody said answer should be short and concise. Nagkwento pa si Harlene ng experiences nya but it was not formulated in a way responding or answering the question. This is a lesson for Harlene and all aspiring candidates. Beauty pageant is not only about beautiful face and body, be ready din sana to listen and understand the question during Q&A para masagot ng maayos. The pageant is about beauty and brain, kaya sa Q&A finals kinukuha ang winner. And yes sana din with formality and class. Better luck next time Harlene, let this be a room for improvement.

Herlene is beautiful, her body really fits for grand physique standard but when it comes for Q and A sana iwasan nya ung sobrang comedy kc it's a pageant, if she really want to win, she have to answer in a right manner as a beauty queen.This is not a destructive criticism to miss Budol but rather something good for her...her looks, physique and pasarela is really grand, only needs to workout on talking like a queen.

I've been seeing a lot of posts recently about Budol regarding her answer during the q&a. Out of curiosity, I intended to watch the video itself than believe some posts which I thought were false and just spreading negativity towards her. After watching this, I am really disappointed with how pageants are executed and the process of choosing candidates. A beauty pageant is not just about being beautiful and sexy. It's about sharing your thoughts, ideas, and platform in a crowd. A place where women, can deliver their message in a way it is convincing and proves that you deserve to be in that spot. Popularity, nevertheless, has a great impact especially in this type of contest. Budol must be aware that it is a serious competition and all the ladies in there are eager to win. She showed disrespect not just to the judges but to the whole production since it represents how they selected each candidate. Is she worth it? I really don't think so. A beauty pageant is a beauty and brain and a beauty with a purpose. I don't think unpreparedness is a reasonable excuse since they all must be ready and show not just confidence but at the same time their knowledge.

Without being disrespectful 2023 na po. kung ngparetoke or ngpa enhancement man ang kandidata is none of our business if she thinks it will make her more confidently beautiful then why not. The most important thing is how she present herself and her ADVOCACY. Many people were let down by your choice of words, such as when you said, "Oh di ba, naka compose ako agad" ,"English yun", etc. The moment you were given the opportunity to answer a serious question, you should have treated it with the gravity it deserved. You could have expressed yourself better by responding in Filipino, a language in which you are more comfortable. This was your chance to demonstrate to the entire nation that you possess qualities that could have secured your victory, not solely relying on your popularity but also showcasing your inner beauty. Unfortunately, you missed this opportunity. Remember, Ms. Budol, that there are other contestants who put in a tremendous amount of effort and preparation for this pageant. Advice kulang po sau pagdating sa Ganyang Prestigious Beauty Pageant eh pakisantabi mo muna ung pagging Comedian mo Saka hnd maganda ung performance mo habang tinatanung ka ng Hurado. ipakita mo ung pagging poise Beauty Queen mo kahit hnd ka masyado okei magsalita ng English eh maideliver mo ng ayus ung sagot mo kahit isagot mo nalang sya sa Tagalog or Taglish ba? like ung pagsagot mo sa Bb.Pilipinas 2022 mga ganun way pasado na un. Kasi ung ginawa mo ngaun jan nakakabawas points iyan at hnd ihemplo ng pagging Isang Beauty Queen ung ginawa mo. What if kung ikaw ang inilaban sa Miss Grand International 2023 mas lalong hnd pwede iyan ginagawa mo. Dapat mas maging Seryuso ka sa ganyan gusto mo Manalo gusto mo masungkit ang Titulo at Korona ng Miss Grand International 2023 so mas Gawin mo ung nararapat ung dapat ung Tama ung magkaroon ka ng dedication sa sarili mo sa ginagawa mo!!! Wago munang Gawin laro o comedian ung sinasalihan mo ngaun na Pageant. Oh Guyz wag po kau sumama ang loob sakin snabi kulang ung saloobin ko po para kay Miss Herlene Nicole Hipon Budol kasi concern lang po talaga ako sakanya gusto ko din sya Manalo kaya gusto kulang po itama sya sa ganung paraan. Hindi ako hater or hindi ako against kay Herlene, pero kung dito pa lang sa Pinas sobra na yung kaba nya to the point na wla na sa lugar yung actions at snsbi nya, what more kng nsa international competition n sya. She needs more training sa Q and A. Sa gestures pa lng nya, nandun ung pagiging over confident which is hnd dn maganda tngnan. Ang kailngan ntn sa Ms. Grand, not just the looks itself pero yung kaya ihandle ant pressure at kaba with poise and grace at the same time, kaya sumagot ng on point na answer sa tanong. Simpleng sagot pero nattumbok.

Herlene needs to take personality development to train her on public speaking. Hindi as host and comedian. Parang hindi sya nag practice. Tagalog or taglish naman sagot ng iba need nya lang talaga mag focus and more trainings pa on questions and answer. The ways she handles the Q&A speaks a lot. Parang sayang lang kasi positive yung feedback ng mga tao lastime.

Ang Beauty pageant laging may mga tanong na kailangang mag English ka rin maski mag mix ka ng Tagalog ok pa rin. Si Budol hindi pa hasang hasa sa mga sinasalihan nya kaya hirap syang makiha ang korona. Nagpa retoke sya kaya gumanda at yun lang ang pang laban nya pero sa Q&A dun sya mahina.

Herlene should just stick in comedy acting, kung yun lang ang goal nya , which is pagtawanan at magpatawa. She needs to have a realistic realization na she cannot serve two masters. It’s either being a comedienne or a beauty queen. In her case, mas suited ang komedyante o clown. Kc wala syang pinipiling venue kung san nya ilalagay yung clown karakter nya. Kung tinagalog na ung tanong at di pa din nakuha, siguro ung brain cells na nya ang may problema. O mas active yung brain cells nya sa thought na makapagpatawa at “magpakatotoo” sya kc yun yung nkaka get away sya sa reality na beauty pageants sinasalihan nya at hindi comedy stand up acts ,dapat may purpose ka Herlene bakit ka sumasali sa beauty pageants at kasama dun yung iimprove mo ang sarili mo at mag grow at develop pra maging best version ka ng sarili mo kc kung irerepresent mo Ms. Budol ang Philippines, for sure di ganyan ang representatation dapat ng isang Filipina na makikita sa buong mundo. So stick with comedy kung yun lang kaya mong gawin at gustong gawin. But don’t dare represent our country kung ganyan magpapaclown ka lang. Kc I assure you hindi ganyan ang mga Filipinas na nagtatanga tangahan at nagpapaclown lang. Know your limits baka hindi talaga para sayo ang mga pageants.
