No, they did exactly what they did with her inspiration in _Justice League:_ they switched an aimless grab-bag of Silver Age abilities into a focused character. Of course, the current trend in superheroes reduces them to a slurry of "power levels", "feats", "canon" and "lore", so many current fans won't understand this comment. I think the genre can pull itself out of that nosedive, though.

If I were to introduce Miss Martian in this show, I would have it be where she saves the lives of Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Superboy. After she defeats Mr. Twister, she carries Robin into her ship along with her uncle who takes care of the others. After Superboy wakes up, and sees her tending to his arm, he attacks her, but then he calms down and lets her go when Martian Manhunter tells him to do so. And when they get back to the cave does she properly introduce herself to them. And then as the episodes go on, she has some interactions with them. First Superboy who apologizes for attacking her when she was really trying to make sure he didn't get a bruise on his arm. She accepts his apology and then they discuss about him being a clone of Superman. Then she runs into Kaldur who welcomes her to the team which she is honored to be a part of. With Wally, she is carrying a tray of freshly baked cookies for the team to try and warns them to be careful because they're hot, and Wally goes, "Not as hot as you, babe." And she awkwardly says, "Thanks, Wally, um... that's sweet." And when he says, "Not as sweet as you, sugar." she gets embarrassed and then walks away and leaves the tray in case anybody wants more. And finally, when it's the anniversary of the day Dick lost his family, she walks in on him talking to a picture of him with his family. And when she asks about the picture, he tries to hide it and says it's nothing, but she gives him a look, and he explains what happened to his family and how they died and he was the sole survivor. And she is hesitant to read his mind because she doesn't want to be nosy, but Dick allows her to so she can see what he is talking about. And after see the event, she comforts him when he starts to cry about how much he misses them and wishes they were there to see him grow. M'gann then explains she knows what it's like to lose a family since her real family was killed in an invasion attack by a different race of aliens that would later be revealed to be the Reach. All these little moments are how I would allow the audience and the characters the team members to know what kind of person Miss Martian actually is: a caring, sweet, and kind person who is trying to get use to being on a team.

And then she goes on to meet Artemis and then Zatanna. After getting to know them both, she gives therapy sessions to both Robin after learning of his backstory, and then Zatanna about her times with her dad and how she's been setting into the cave without him. Rue's other moments are some of my own and I would use those to show that Miss Martian is the most caring person. But I also want more moments of her being a badass such as when she defeats Mr. Twister, blows up the lab that Shazam was captured in after they rescue him,wiping the floor with Wally when he won't stop hitting on her while training in combat and saying, "You know what you did wrong, Wally? As Robin said earlier, You hit on your opponent and got served." And then when she blows up the drones and tells Superboy to get Garfield inside after he was injured in the explosion and says he doesn't have a choice. And for more sweet moments, M'gann interacting with Garfield before he was injured in the explosion is onedeveloping and more interactions with her and Superboy developed a relationship. Once again, I am just trying to share how I would write Miss Martian if I was working on the show.

She isn't a human, so naturally it doesn't make sense that she would base her looks on humans' judgement. For instance, If I were the last human on earth and I was some fat ugly dude, I wouldn't spend much time minding what my dog thought of my appearance. You can only become wary of judgment in the face of your own species. That probably stems from attractiveness for your own kind. Technically it also doesn't make sense that she even finds any human (or Kryptonian) attractive as they aren't of her own kind.

Mars in that canon has access to a lot of Earth shows and things as well. She was a white Martian that was bullied a lot before coming to Earth so she already had insecurities.
