Miss Monique has some great taste in what she chooses to play and how she plays it. I appreciate that allows the music to play instead of showing off with looping and effects like too many other youtube DJs. The fact is that if you actually listen to the DJ set instead of looking for a 'performance' her sets are more varied and interesting than many big-name DJs. And allow me to discover new music, which should be the whole point of following a DJ you like. Now, if one ends up neurotically massaging EQ knobs every now and then, well yes, that's unnecessary but in these days of auto-sync there is so little to do in between records. We used to be busy browsing for the next vinyl and then finding the tempo. I think what DJs need now is to bring a bunch of kittens with them in the booth, to have something to play with in between tracks, keep KZbin audiences happy (kittens!) and avoid the temptation of putting flangers, loopers and filters on everything-all-the-time.

Watching this was such a relieve after watching "Anya Arfeeva" and "Ksenia Meow" videos in a row!!! =/ Cool mixing girl... but I advice you to be more creative, you're letting play most of every song and mixing in the outro, just an advice change between songs faster, loop the songs, hot cues, use the beat fx with color fx for deeper feeling etc.

See, JME man, you can mix bruv. I've been a subscriber to your channel a while and you totally represent my genre. I totally get what you are saying as the whole "let's look busy" thing does get on my tits BUT is it fair to bash the girl. From my perspective as a listener, her transitions are smooth and see seems to be getting pitch and tone matched nicely. Are you constructively saying "lay off with the bullshit, you don't need that. You're better than that" or are you bashing, which aint fair. Head over to an "Anya Arfeeva" and "Ksenia Meow" set for that as imho they deserve to be told. Those girls really cant beat match or do *anything* technical, where-as from what I've watched so far of Monique, she seems solid just maybe not full of tricks. Just a comment geezer. Peace and Love

She plays decent tunes, nice transitions and generally her mixes are quite tight, but some could be better, and would probably be helped if she stopped fucking about with the mixer pretending to do crap and concentrated on mixing.
