Miss Red Looking For A Playmate

Miss Red LOOOOOVES to play with her sister Miss Violet. Sometimes Miss Violet wants to chill and chew a toy to pieces. On these occasions, Miss Red looks to find another playmate. It doesn't always go to plan.

Answering on your post...as we've taken over someone else's to natter. 🙂Ottawa is about one third from our East Coast, two thirds from our Left Coast, four fifths from our North Coast. Only one French province, La Belle Quebec, but big French populations in Ontario, New Brunswick and pockets in the Prairies. You should look up a pic of North America at night...the empty black portion is Canada. 🙂 The Quebec license plate has the motto 'Je me souviens' (Me, I remember. 🙂) They're still mad, bless 'em. As for Canadian history, we have a joke..."Canada doesn't have history...it has geography." 🙂I am aware of the stereotypical British character...the famous 'twitching net curtains' but it's mitigated by the 'talking over the fence while hanging out the wash.' And, of course, the local. You make Nottinham sound delightful. Very...monochrome.🙂Lastly, people from Halifax are called 'Haligonians' and the locals call it The 'Fax.

@@saraseale2364 Yes I see Sara, I rather think on the whole it's no bad thing to take over another thread from time to time, many are simply abandoned after a day or so, and I believe a chat on aspects of culture geography and history will likely be received well by any fellow Canadians, Australians and Americans who may stumble upon it, for nationals of such country's are largely starved of sophisticated chitchat, as much as they are culture and history, it would be a rare treat and boon to them I like to think 😊 You paint a fascinating picture of Ottawa's location, by parts similar to the dark hole of Calcutta and in the region of the back of beyond. Absolutely charming. Much of your post had the pleasing effect of leaving me in a complete state of bafflement and wonder, I have no doubt native north Americans would fully grasp the in-jokes, whilst I was left simply wondering how very strange must Canadians be. You for sure do have rather a lot of geography, as you do wild animals, I hope one day I may get the chance to visit there and see it for myself. Although I do think it might take a long time to travel around, unlike here where I can basically drive round the whole circumference of the country in less than 24 hours. Hanging our washing out and tutting loudly about the promiscuity of our young women has largely ended now sadly, which is something of shame. But the curtain twitching is certainly still ferociously observed, especially when new neighbors are moving in, and we all want to see if they look as if they will add to the collection of idiots already living nearby. My locals are imaginatively named the Robin Hood, the Friar Tuck and the Maid Marian, we at least always know which shire we are in. I like the Haligonion nickname, but the "fax" sounds much too gritty, and rather makes me think of the deprived council estates we have here. Good location for a decent series though. I myself grew up on an estate where a series called "shameless" was filmed here, oh the joy 😊😁
