Those threatening her family are no different from what Israel is doing to Palestinians. Absolutely no need for apology but our govt needs to apologize first, for all offenses they have committed in our country ,stealing monies even during pandemic season. Thats the apology we should expect not Miss Universe. How about apology for not protecting women n children killed n raped everyday???

There is absolutely no need and NO EXCUSE to send this girl death threats about all this. There is absolutely no excuse to threaten the safety of this beautiful young girl and her family over this. That's absolutely disgusting!! Even with the reasoning of supporting the Palestinians, it is unacceptable! Whoever did it, is no better than the people oppressing and torturing the Palestinians.

Miss SA forgets SA was under apartheid. If it was not for those that fought the apartheid regime many would not enjoy the freedom today. As a country that lived under apartheid we stand with Palestine. Apartheid is something that we South Africans can not support. The true winners are those that boycotted this pagent.
@phandapanda96443 жыл бұрын
This conflict btn these two countries is evil and the atrocities should end.....BUT choosing to use a beauty pageant to stage this protest and dragging everybody associated with Miss SA into it is downright *cowardice*. None of you(protesters) are serious - if you were, the protests would continue every week in front of the Israeli embassy. Government would also stop trade with Israel. There are many more serious actions that government could take, but you and I know that they won't - because their stance is disingenuous. Therefore we Support Lalela ✊🏾

@@phandapanda9644 In the 1960s and ‘70s, activists fought to have South Africa barred from major sporting events like the Olympics and World Cup, and advocated for Europeans and Americans to stop buying South African fruit and cigarettes. The liberation movement asked international musicians to boycott South Africa. In 1976, after a massacre of schoolchildren in Soweto, near Johannesburg, turned the world’s attention to South Africa’s atrocities, nine countries announced they would boycott the Miss World pageant for allowing South Africa to participate. A second boycott followed the next year, forcing the organizers to ban South Africa. “These calls to isolate South Africa culturally were very important” because they reinforced the country’s exclusion from the global community, South Africans have forgotten were it's coming From

@@hamzahakeem6168 Please do see the difference, SA was a self proclaimed Apartheid regime trying to enter a beauty pageant - and rightfully so, there were protests against this move. Now, SA is a free country entering a beauty competition that is not racist nor does it have any political interests in Israel or Palestine. You should be protesting the Miss Universe Organisation for allowing Israel to enter their candidate, every year - since you see Israel as an Apartheid regime, if you want to compare apples for apples. Our governments stance against Israel in this matter is not serious and no diplomatic action will ever be taken by it. The protests in my opinion were also disingenuous - as you waited for a beauty pageant to be hosted in Israel, before protesting. You basically dragged the Miss SA Organisation in the mud in your attempt to voice your concerns. Now that the pageant is over, will you continue with the protests so we can see that this is serious? 🤷🏾♂️ The answer is NO. You've protested against Miss SA Organisation instead of protesting governments diplomatic ties and trade with Israel. 🤷🏾♂️

Long live Lalela Mswane long live !!! South Africa WELCOMES you our baby girl !!!We dont care what the DEVIL is saying about Lalela Mswane. If the people of South Africa are HONEST, and care much about the TENSION that prevails between Palestinians and the Israelites, they MUST RETURN THEIR AMBASSADOR from Israel and INSTRUCT the Israel AMBASSADOR who is in South Africa to go back home. But if ISRAEL AMBASSADOR is still here in South Africa ,as if nothing is happening in his country, they MUST STOP pretending as if they care. They are hypocrites and REACTIONARIES. They dont have the COURAGE and BOLDNESS to chase away ISRAEL AMBASSADOR from South Africa, but they had the courage to want to stop Lalela from FOLLOWING HER DREAM. There is no POLITICS in what they were saying, but pure JEALOUS for Lalela. Thank God she came back a WINNER, and WE ARE 100% proud of her. Because she deteated so many countries. They were all 80 in number, but SHE managed to BECOME the 2nd RUNNER. GOD IS GOOD, and ALL THE TIME. May the good Lord BLESS you Lalela and continue to run after your GOAL . GOOD GIRL !!✊✊✊

Congratulations firstly. However, there is a big problem of racism and inequality in that country. Next time you go please take your mom along she will be able to relate the Palestinians and the immense inequalities they are experiencing. And yes, it’s worse than Apartheid! Just a gentle reminder had black people in this country not fought and remained resilient like the Palestinians you would not have been given an opportunity to participate in Miss South Africa, let alone miss Universe. ( I definite Do not condone the death threats to you and family, but you should also not condone the inhumane treatment of the Palestinians by the Israelis. You sound intelligent and intellectual - like a well-balanced person, and you visited the Israeli side. Good. Did you make an effort to visit or speak to Palestinians who are living in Bantustans forced to live under with conditions worse than our ancestors?)
