These days modern, reputable & international pageants look at beauty, brains & the best queen who aligns with their brand & ethos. It’s also about what their vision is for that year & what the queen brings to elevate the pageant. Ms Mswane more than fits the bill. She elevates Miss Supra just by bringing the Miss Universe 2nd princess tag. Her story is also one of a fighter, resilience, life-long excellence & an over comer - things that modern women need to navigate this life. Even more significant is that she’s the best to be crowned while also being their first black queen! Plus she wears a brand new crown. So no, if it was about a pretty face only, there’d be a LOT of them barbies entertaining these competitions.
