ese miss universo se hizo en un Perú con crisis política y economica, en pleno auge del terrorismo..aún así se pudo organizar, y comparado con muchos otras ediciones, tuvo uno de los mejores openings de la historia de este concurso de belleza. Hubiera sido lindo que Karen pudiera sostener la corona,,pero bueno,,creo que le quedaba muy pequeña.

Por lo general cuando se hace fuera de Estados Unidos los escenarios son muy bonitos y con elementos culturales, especialmente en aquellas épocas. También el de El Salvador y Grecia eran muy interesantes, especialmente este último porque se hizo en un anfiteatro romano.

I heard a rumour in late 80s she (Miss Italy) had been acting in porn movies. Yep, she had an attitude, and I think the judges knew it.

The real story is one judge wanted to give South Africa a perfect 10 in swimsuit not realizing the highest score a judge could give was 9.9, so it registered as 1.0 in the computer. Another judge saw South Africa as a threat to his favorite (Miss Guam), so he lowballed her on purpose

if not for the computer error, Diane would not have been Miss Universe 1982. Miss South Africa was the one to beat during that edition. Miss South Africa's score in swimsuit seemed to have a sort of an anomaly. a judge must not have given score in time so the general score was devastatingly affected the reason why she was left out among the top 5.

The other judges couldn't have had her that high or else multiple judges missed giving her a top score, which also seems unlikely. Even if you have 9 judges out of 10 give a score of let's say 8.5 and 1 that gives a score of 1.0, those ten judges average a score of 7.75. Miss South Africa was in the low 7, so many judges must have given her scores in the low 8s or high 7s for your claim to even be accurate. Anyhow - while Miss South Africa certainly was worthy of being in the top 5, especially in a year like 1982 where the competition was very weak, no one can say that Miss Canada wasn't also equally deserving. She was simply stunning.

@@fabrisultanof Antes de comentar algo indague si no sabe, si es verdad a Maritza le operaron la nariz, pero Irene para su dolor fue más natural y no le hicieron cirugía sin contar que la Organización Miss Universo la quería Reelegir ese año y ella no aceptó ya que estaba agotada de tantos compromisos hasta ese momento y durante muchos años ha sido considerada la Miss Universo más bella de la Historia, ademas que en el año 1997 le entregaron un premio por ser la MIss Universos que alcanzó los más altos cargos se debe recordar que fue Alcaldesa de Chacao, en Caracas, Gobernadora del Edo Nueva Esparta y Candidata Presidencial de su país Venezuela

puedes pensar lo qte de lagana pero la realidad es q ustedes no son usa son un estado agregado q le conviene seguir en esa situacion para tener acceso a los estados unidos sin el problema d ela visa , pero cuando les conviene si son latinos,la realidad es q nada mas tienen 5 coronas , no te agregues las de usa q ellos no se agregan las de ustedes por q no los consideran usa. no hay nada mejor q pertenecer a un pais independiente , saludos desde argentina.
