The stage for the 1994 Miss Universe National Costume and Philippine Terno that was staged at the Araneta Coliseum was far better than the finals stage at PICC. Anyways, the MU 1994 was an amazing show from the beginning when the candidates arrive.

@@jonathanchristiandiaz9659 I don't know on why the Philippines failed to present its diverse culture during the preliminary and coronation night when it hosted the 2016 edition. I'll be honest, as a Filipino, palagi ko pa rin pinapanood yung 2018 edition ung sa Bangkok, Thailand and they presented their culture well lalo na ung nasa LED background during the coronation night. It was a missed opportunity for the Philippines but if MUO pick our country to host the Miss Universe again ay dapat mag-invest sila sa cultural branding lalo na in any events kasi to be honest as long as I want to see our hosting in 2016 memorable pero unfortunately ang boring at ang bland, its too Westernized para bang walang effort ang paghost natin. Para bang nahihiya tayong ipresent ung visual at cultural identity ng Pilipinas unlike nung 1974 at 1994 editions. Ung terno fashion show should always be a mainstay for any Philippine-hosted Miss Universe edition, sana nga i-livestream in the future. Metro Manila has always been the host city of Miss Universe, maybe we can explore other cities in the Philippines like Cebu, Davao, Clark, Iloilo, etc. as long as they have a proper venue for the hosting. Just like the case of Miss Universe 2008 which was held in Nha Trang, Vietnam instead of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. To be honest, there are only 2 countries that can pull off the best Miss Universe hosting, in my opinion, are Thailand and the Philippines. But for the Philippines, it needs more improvement and it can learn from its first two hostings (1974 and 1994) and the Thai hostings (1992, 2005, and 2018). And if the Philippines was able to wow its audience in the future then sisiw na lang ito kapag naghost sila ng Miss World at lalung-lalo na ung Miss Earth na dito nakabase sa Pilipinas.

Agreed. Sure, 2016 was like a party in a bigger venue in the MOA Arena with international superstars like Flo Rida and Boyz II Men, but it didn't show more of the Filipino culture. I hope if and when the Philippines host Miss Universe again, they need to showcase more of the Filipino culture and give local talents to perform with international stars.
