Exactly. It started going downhill by the late 2000s/early 2010s. Now it's just a modelling show, tacky version, with cookie cutter same looks. Also same, manufactured responses and causes, just fake and exaggerated, and then the final blow that ended it was giving the pageant a drag queen fashion show and parade vibe.

This year, the swimsuit and evening gown preliminaries during the presentation show had basically determined the 9 of the top 10. Estonia was in 10th place (10th swimsuit, 12th gowns) and was displaced by El Salvador, who was 12th, once the interview scores were factored in. Estonia actually finished last in the preliminary interview. 9 of the top 10 was also the same top 10 in the evening gown preliminary (France stalling at 11th). I noticed that El Salvador, Aruba, and Finland was in 8/9/10th place with 9.23, a noticeable gap from 11th placer Philippines with a 9.07. Hungary, South Africa and Estonia were top 10 in the swimsuit preliminary that failed to make the semi-finals. In interview, half of the top 10 finishers in the prelims: Chile, Trinidad/Tobago, Norway, Jamaica and South Africa failed to enter the semi-finals.

USA should’ve been at least in the top 3 , she was first in prems (Venezuela 2nd), 2nd in the semis just behind Venezuela , and her top 6 answer was really on point , better than Finland. Some judge gave her 8.5 and kept her out of that .. I guess they didn’t want back to back at the time to appear bias. Although this was Alicia’s night , Such a shame she could’ve given Alicia a run for her money, this was definitely between USA and Venezuela

IMG o el próximo comprador deberían de tomar nota de cómo hacer un evento dinámico, alegre y con drama sin necesidad de pantallas gigantes. USA had the worse answer, being apart from a family is not a hard challenge . Miss Mexico also had a mistake if she asked for a translator she should had answer in Spanish not that wanted to go over the translator and she ducked in her answer because she couldn’t know to say in English human rights , that it was hesitation that is why the judges took her out from the top three. Venezuela was fantastic in both answers , she left behind l them all. Great Miss Universe abd she is the first Miss Universe of Donald Trump.
