actually, if you go find the news about miss universe 2003. you will know that she cried during the contest. originally, the organization allowed her to use taiwan, but due to china' threat, she must change the title to chinese taipei. so china used political captation on the pageant.

Es gracioso como los países que limitan con Panamá, estén ordenados alfabéticamente juntos, es decir: Colombia y Costa Rica, y justamente me di cuenta fue en la edición que se hizo en Panamá, por este video. let me make some examples for you. the nickname of republic of korea is south korea,so why taiwan cannot be our country's nickname. nowadays, china represents PRC, that's undeniable. thus, i can guarantee if you say you are from ROC, most foreigners will think you are from beijing or shanghai. that's why i always say i am from taiwan.
