I am Filipino and I remembered watching this alone in my room back in 2015. I was cheering for Pia to get crowned that day but when Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia as Miss Universe, I got really disappointed. I turned the tv off and went outside to get some fresh air. And then moments later, the whole neighborhood went crazy. The condo buildings near me were so loud with residents cheering and shouting in their rooms. And I was like "is there a fire or something?" Until I finally came to my senses and realized that it could be the Miss Universe contest they were cheering to. So, I went back to my room and the rest was history.

And I really didn't care. Haha. All I was thinking is the audacity of these people to watch Ms.U and make noises when their agents are working. Then they all get wild again and the noise got worse. This was totally monumental for us Filipinos because it was soooo long ago that we won the Miss Universe title as in 40+ yrs ago. Then the whole country was optimistically tuned in at that time that we will win it finally. and then, Pia was announced as the first runner up, we were like WHAT? Then all of a sudden as we were watching as if we were waiting for a miracle to happen, and the rest is history. We are so proud of Pia as a Philippine representative of this pageant but most of all we are so proud on how she handled the situation , it wasn't all beautiful after the pageant, she was bullied there, she was not able to enjoy that victory at that moment, she was crying backstage because other candidates who werefrom latin america sided with Ms. Colombia. It was traumatic for her. But you see, She has handled it with grace, poise and humility. You cannot put a good WOMAN down

I did not like the attitude of the women from Latin America towards Pia. Common sense tellsk people that it was not her fault. She, too, was affected. Robbed of the feeling of being named Ms. Universe because of a mixed up. That really showed the real hearts of those women who where at the pageant. Livid!

Oh yeah!! My sister and I were watching this in San Diego during my visit. I had no doubt in mind that Pia was going to get the Miss Universe crown. I "watch, she is going to win" were my exact words to her. Everybody got quiet after Steve announced Colombia as the winner. My sister and I were speechless. After a while, Steve came back to the stage and announced his mistake. Everybody in the audience were buzzing, and everything changed afterwards. Philippines was the winner!!!! So happy to see her win. Miss Colombia was deserving as well but only one has to wear the crown, and that is Miss Philippines!!. Mabuhay!!! Thank you for this reaction video. God bless.

This pageant was held days before I gave birth to my youngest..Even if have a big tummy during this day, I really jumped for the happiness..we're really shocked why she only got the 1st runner up but everything stopped when we saw majority of the audience were not happy on the decision and when Steve go back and asked for an apology, sadness turned into happiness..Steve made a correction about the real winner..after that, I told my self, I am now ready to give birth LOL..haha..after 5 days I gave birth to a cute little baby girl and it was the best Christmas gift we received

It was my cousin's wedding at that time. We were in a hotel and were getting ready for the wedding early in the evening and while getting dolled up in the hotel we were watching this competition. When steve harvey announced miss columbia as the winner we were absolutely disappointed and my aunts and other relatives who where really passionate about pageants specially our stylist at that time really got mad and triggered about it. Then I was left alone watching it since I was just getting my hair done. They were back doing some things that could distract their attention from such disappointment then a few minutes later steve harvey went back on stage then re- announced the winner then chaos happen. Hahaha its like a justice served moment and they were so happy. Even my cousin who was about to get married at that time became extra happy with the news. They are really a passionate pageant enthusiasts. Its a very memorable and special day. Also the slang "na columbia" got trending. Which pertains to that feeling of miss columbia that mood.

That crowning moment ..we have no TV and it was broadcast it on Radio, so when steve says Colombia is miss universe then there radio reporter says, wait there's a commotion going on and steve anounce the Philippine as winner. and Im happy
