Ask an american dental surgeon questions in French, would he be able to understand? Even if he can little French, what you learn at school is nothing to do with situations like that. So Iris will be a dental surgeon and in France you don't need any English for that kind of studies. So Iris had to learn some English before she went to Miss Univers but it's not enough. The more she will learn in New York, the better it will be, the more she will be able to express herself. And the second thing is they asked her the same questions since a week, so she has to reply the same things as well, but it's normal, she just became the new Miss Universe. But I have no doubt she will improve her English. A pity that the Miss Universe won't send her to have some English lessons, it would help her to learn quickly.

Well basically the the reason why they called the french language as love language because it comes from Latin.. Neo Latin actually (new Latin) And these Neo Latin languages are called language romance. (Italian, French, Spanish, etc..) Basicaly, french is called "romantic" not so because it is "romantic" but more because it suggest an eroticism. French erotic writers became very famous during 18th century in the literary trend "libertinism" (similar to the decadent movment .... but dandys were more society dropouts whereas libertins where linked to the outrage of religion by an open sexuality - Marquis de Sade or the book Dangerous Liaisons). Pia is fake and rehearsed and did not deserve the Miss Universe crown. Iris is natural, friendly, not rehearsed, fun, adorable and naturally sweet. I got tired of hearing Pia, in every show complaining that how Philippines did not have a Miss Universe crown in over 40 years and she needs to bring the crown home. Pia is half German and that is why her looks are sort of acceptable. Filipinas are not known for their beauty. Even Gloria and the other 1973 woman with no personality are buck teeth. Pia has her upper teeth veneered. She wore lighter contact lenses the night she won. She was unfriendly towards everyone in Vegas, did not make any friends and stayed in her room!

Well she had to answer the same questions, and technically we're not supposed to see all those interviews because back in the day we would only turn to one channel, and if you missed the episode you missed it. But nowadays you can get ten different versions of the same interview online thanks to youtube. From the way you were commenting about her staying in her room in Vegas, sounds like you were there to witness it all. Maybe that's the case but it seemed more competitive last year in terms of the contestants, whereas this year everyone just enjoyed their experience and they were all friends. Anyway, I think Pia is a lovely woman. She's very natural and candid and eloquent. So is Iris.
