Yes! Finally Thailand chose a pure native Thai candidate to represent Thailand. This is appropriate and correct in many ways as a lot of Thai women and even native Southeast Asian women in general can truly relate to her and be proud. Her classic beauty, serene calmness, captivating elegance, beautiful confidence and great communication skill are undeniable. But most importantly her impactful advocacy and humble heart will hopefully guide and help her win the Miss Universe crown. Her win would not only be for Thailand but it would also be purposeful and relevant for the native indigenous Southeast Asian women in general. My best translation of the winning answer from MISS BANGKOK ==> I believe that empowerment can be passed on to others based on your very own experience. Just like my experience when I had a surgery to remove a lump from my breasts. This inspire me to start a foundation called OPAL FOR HER to create breast cancer awareness, and most importantly to start a conversation and give hope to those that are currently fighting breast cancer. Breast cancer is a worldwide disease and not just in Thailand. It is something that I had been advocating and fighting in the past and will continue into the future. Thank you.
