I am very grateful for you sharing this Kevin. It means a lot that you took the time to share this with us. Certainly your words are touching to me but...maybe you didn't notice this...but as your are talking in your car about your dad your child seat is behind you. It is almost symbolic in a way of the circle of life. While you are mourning the loss of your dad all you have to do is turn around and see the hope of a new generation that both you and your dad played a role. You are an important man Kev! i wish you and your family the best. Joe
@SkidderKev3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Joe. You are exactly right about the seat. As I rewatched it before posting this I kept staring at the child seat in the back, I was listening to my pain of the old generation passing on and staring at the next generation. Thank you so much for helping me see that through the tears Joe.

Yes sir probably about the same as your feeling. I always liked to impress my mom when i`d make stuff so now i make stuff and we set back and say mom would have a fit over that, I guess what i`m getting at is your Dad much like my mom Is very proud of you So mourn as much as you need don`t dwell on stuff (the what if`s) And keep on making him Proud. I`m a believer so i feel they are up above and all around watching. Think happiness he would want you happy. Btw if you feel the need to talk to me you know how to get me. Take care of your awesome family buddy.

Hey Kev, so sorry for your loss. I am glad you made this video. This is part of that grieving process that so many people try to avoid. However it’s what we so desperately need in these times. We go through life as though we think it’s not gonna happen to us. Your dad set such a great example by making sure things were organized and prepared and in turn you’re passing his wisdom on to all of us. Will you “Get Over This?” I sure hope not, we don’t do that. These Loved ones have etched a place on our very souls and through us they live on. Over time we will ponder less and less on their final days and more and more on all of those special times we shared together. Kevin, I pray for Peace beyond all understanding and for continued blessings, healing and favor on your entire family. In Jesus’ name. Tedd

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, my prayers go out to you. I know it had to be hard to make this video. I did one like this on my best friend who died 3 months before retired. I cried why doing that video. I worked with him everyday at work. And loosing a dad is even harder. I feel for you. I just started watching your videos yesterday and right away bad news. I just lost another great friend from our church who died from Covid in just 4 days of having it. Life is just to short. I'm 64 and trying to run from Covid. I know soon or later I will get it. Wisconsin is very bad. I'm locked up in my house, and when I shop for food, I feel like someone is holding a gun to my back. I hope things get better for you. May God be with you and your family. God bless my friend.⛪⛪💒💫

Loosing a parent makes you reflect a lot - think a lot - you remember the good times - your emotions are right there just under the surface all the time - but life slowly returns to normal but you are changed forever - lost both my parents within 2 years of each other - i never noticed it but people around me said I was different - maybe that’s just me I don’t know - we all handle this stuff differently - you will carry memories of your dad with you all the time and little things will happen in your day and remind you of him and you will smile or maybe shed a tear but you will never forget - keep on keepin on Kev

My heart goes out to you and your family. I understand what you are going through. I have been down that road with my mother in 2002. Hard times to deal with. Sorry for your loss Kev. Losing family and close friends is very hard to go through, especially close to the holidays when families are usually together. I lost my mom and one of my uncles in 2017, and lost one of my aunts a year later on Christmas. Tough times Kev. Nothing to say but I’m praying for yal and thinking about you. We all deal with things different. My pop died a couple,3 years ago. I’m the oldest, and glad to see you grieving now. I tried to be the strongest in the family, and it took me over a year before it really hit me that He was really gone. It rocked me hard Bros, but after a few years now I can give you some advice. Be the Man that You are, and do the best you can to live a life that You know that You respect. Then you will realize over some time that your Pop is proud that you are living a productive, respectful life. He surely wanted you to be happy. Give it some time Bros. It won’t happen over night. But as yal string some days, weeks , months together, you will realize, All is good. Life is good , specially when the Family is OK. Take care Man. AC
