Nice work with the longbow! What poundage were you using? Traditional Bowhunting is a light and SILENT way of hunting. As things get worse in our country, it makes for a great way to hunt and not alert anyone that you just took out an animal for meat.

It’s 47# at 28” I draw closer to 31” so it’s shooting roughly about 50#

Congratulations. You found one of the few deer on the planet that forgot to duck the string. If he had ducked like deer normally do, I think you might have been successful. No way to predict it. Nice try.
