Janne is my personal favorite character. His jokes aren't even that funny when translated cos they can't most times be translated well, But in Finnish he's absolutely hilarious, always when he's on he makes me laugh :D He really is kind of idiot and stupid but has a big warm heart and is so funny. Janne isn't malicious at all really. Only once he did something bad: hit Tale, but it was cos Janne found out Tale is not gay and had been peeping Ida.

Beautiful episode. And the settings so totally, essentially Finnish. Bare rock, moss, sunshine, woods, blue water. A dream of Finland as I learnt to love it so many years ago. I liked the dialogue here. Nice to know that Lari loves Elias because he can see that Elias is himself - as they used to say, out and proud. Plus his face is OK! But it's great to know that Lari sees what's truly impressive and beautiful in Elias.

Yes, The episodes are always shot 5-6 months before they air. I believe these scenes we have gotten yesterday and today are the first ones shot after their summer holidays on late July/early August :)

The actors playing Lari & Elias can kiss, cuddle, or lie side by side shirtless, but they seem unable to convey desire. With gay or better actors this could be so much more compelling. It's still fun, though, even if it's not quite convincing. At the other extreme there was Relaciones Peligrosas (Dangerous Relationships), which was stupid & insulting.

Ida's maturity goes up and down, depending on the demands of the plot. She was mature enough not to spoil Elias' date, but she's not mature enough to realize that she doesn't have the right to know who he's dating, if he doesn't want to tell her. When she finds out it's Lari, I'm sure she'll feel betrayed, hurt & angry, but maybe, when the dust settles, she'll at least realize that Lari's dumping her had nothing to do with her.

Look at Ida respecting Elias' privacy and maintaining boundaries like a good friend would. How uncharacteristic of her. If I was Elias, I would've slammed that door in Lari's face so fast, maybe said Ida's name really loudly so he'd get the point. Then I'd tell Ida the truth: his guy is deep in the closet, can't come out for reasons and doesn't want anyone to know about them, then hope that she respects that and leaves it alone. But even if she did, Janne probably wouldn't.

Terry Robinson Erm...would it matter if they did? Erections can simply be physical reactions to stimuli, ie, any kind of physical contact. Wouldn't necessarily mean that they're attracted to each other, tho.

Being a man myself and according to the medical professionals. Any male is attracted by his eyes first. Two people can share the same room, and get an erection Not necessarily sexual stimulation, but feeling comfortable with that person. Petteri Paavola and Ronny Roslof have a friendship. I don't know if they're close or not. But I do hope they have built up a long lasting one. To have spent these very young ones to have built up a close one. I do wish Petteri and Ronny the best.

Terry Robinson I don't follow them so I can't say how things are *now* but back when I first started the storyline, I came across pics and fan accounts, etc so I know that they were close in real life at one point. They spent a lot of time together playing hockey and going out with friends, girlfriends, etc.

Yeah, you don't have to have every interest in common with your boyfriend. Besides, if Lari & Elias watched an ice hockey game together, Lari could explain the strategy and what's happening. A friend did that for me with baseball. Almost anything is more interesting when you better understand what's happening.

One question - where was this actually taking place? The footbridge across the water reminded me of ... the bridge to Seurasaari? Certainly one of the most romantic spots in greater Helsinki.
