As someone who lives above 10,000' in CO, I can say it would be beyond easy to get lost out here and if its not in the middle of summer...it gets cold af at night especially. You've for sure got to plan, but even with that, I always worry/think about missing 411 and how it could totally happen to me/my family up here.

So about that part of Rocky Mountain National Park, a lot of weird things have happened around there and have been seen around there. I've met quite a few people who have stories of big hairy things, not bears, running at them while howling. Some claim Bigfoot, some claim dogman, some just don't know what it was. There is tons of reports in really old newspapers from old railroad workers near Moffat tunnel seeing all sorts of hairy creatures who weren't happy humans were there, and the Utes were terrified of the hairy men and black dogs in the region. BTW that sounds like it's above timberline, so unless the kid was hiding in a cave or behind some boulders there is no reason they shouldn't have seen him. Who knows, kids do weird things sometimes but it doesn't result in tragedy like this. It's entirely possible he tried to get up on a rock that slid, causing him to fall downhill and get injured.

Whole lot of Paulides Bingo hits in this video. When the person is found, these things always end with some variation of everyone-was-relieved-and-no-questions-were-asked. But I refuse to believe that an eight year old evaded military and civilian SAR personnel, survived four days with no provisions, *and* navigated multiple miles of rugged terrain to end up in cave, only for everyone to collectively shrug their shoulders without saying: "Now wait a damn minute here...." It's the equivalent of a physicist watching molecules of oxygen spontaneously transmute into gold in real time; then just tossing it out in annoyance at the sample being ruined. What I'm getting at here is that the way some of these stories end (in general but particularly Evan's) stretches the suspension of disbelief. But that nobody involved seems particularly keen on understanding both *what* , *how* , or even *why* it happens does not beggar belief, it absolutely buggers it. It is as though there is a collectively understood notion that Hc Svnt Dracones, and absolutely nothing good can come of looking too closely into the dark.

I don’t understand why they can’t leave biodegradable food/water supplies around the area the person is missing in. Maybe pinpoint on gps where each was left so they can also leave a note and blanket with them as well. A note that tells them to sit still and blow on provided whistle. We know from survivors stories that they kept missing the people searching for them and many didn’t stay in one place because they were looking for the searchers that had left that area. You could even leave a radio at a few of the drop offs. Enough money is spent on these operations, what’s the cost of a few radios and blankets? I would love to know if there is a reason they don’t do this.

Sometimes these disappearances are baffling, but if anyone has ever gone into wilderness areas, even ones with established trails, how easy it is to get disoriented and then lost. Huindreds of searches can easily miss clues or bodies. Thick woods with low growth is very concealing. And children not coming forward to strangers who may be searching for them does not seem unusual to me. As a parent and knowing other parents, and our society teaching stranger danger, a child scared, suffering from food deprivation, cold, and dehydration, they are only going to fall back on the inherint thing they are taught. Stay away from strangers. So while there are obviously really baffling disappearances, I have a difficult time finding all of them, even ones touted as super unusual, may not be. You just have to be in a wilderness area once to see how easy all this is to disappear and not be found. That is why it is always best to stay on defined trails.

When bodies show up that look like they've dropped from a distance, I think it's due the person fighting whatever has them to the point where they can't be controlled so they just drop they just drop them. you have to remember that all this paranormal speculation regarding missing people in the wilderness Stems from one researcher, David paulides, who is a known conman and a right wing conspiracy theorist. No other researchers, search and rescue personnel, park rangers or law enforcement have validated his research or even supported his claims beyond certain miniscule facts. The missing enigma channel has covered many of the more popular missing 411 cases and have revealed details that Dave suppressed to make the cases more mysterious. Aaron hedges case and the Jared addadero cases are good examples you should watch on that channel. You need to do your own research on these cases and stop listening to one guy who hasn't supplied any answers to the mystery in 12 years but continues to sell books and movies. Nearly 99% of these cases can be explained by hypothermia, accidents, animal attacks, suicides and foul play.

Another set of strange disappearances! How far can an eight or ten year old get in a matter of minutes? Realistically they should still be within yelling distance! Especially the boy who turned the corner ahead of his parents & was just gone! I hear these stories & I put myself in their place. If that was me out hiking with my son & I turned the corner & he was no where in sight? I'd turn into a stark raving lunatic, screaming as if I had lost my mind! At that moment I would've lost my mind if I was faced with something like this! I can't imagine anything more torturing than your having your child missing! Especially when you're doing everything your supposed to be doing & you're right there! Finding these kids five miles away in good condition in places they shouldn't haven't been able to get too. On top of the fact they don't remember much of the time they're gone. THIS IS SO WEIRD!!! There's something else going on here that can't be explained in the way we view the world. Imo this is something that has cloaking ability or access to a portal. Whatever it is it's instantaneous & invisible as crazy as it sounds. What else could accomplish this with 100% accuracy & is never witnessed by anyone!

🇬🇧 Its always my constant hope that, especially when its children, and not a single trace of them is ever found, but are SOMEHOW being cared for well by some other being or entity. Ive heard many stories of Sasquatch being benevolent to humans & helping them or showing concern for the little ones. Many children now & in the past have indeed been cared for by a variety of animals in many parts of Earth. The only worry that concerns me is that other non human entities take children for ulterior motives! 😟 We really dont know what is out there beyond our planet or even if multiple worlds exist. It would scare the pants off me to find myself in another reality so a child must be fearful. But maybe they adapt better, who knows, i just keep hoping & being positive those young ones & kids are living full lives & being cared for & shown love. The alternate doesnt bare thinking about. A recent story ( true or not) was about a future from earth where time travel exists & our future humans travel back to obtain people of all ages etc to enrich & restart humanity. Many ancient texts report on something like this happening in prior civilisations. Maybe its just such a desparate mission, they cannot apologise to us but hope their actions are vindicated. Maybe a future natural disaster has crippled Earth & DNA is required badly to repopulate! This is what i hang on to when all other avenues have been explored & a very puzzling & mysterious disappearance cannot be explained. There are so many absolutely crazy disappearances where logic has to he suspended otherwise we'd go bonkers! My heartfelt sympathies & prayers go out to anyone who has lost a loved one in the wilderness & not a trace has been found & Nothing appears normal. I doubt you never ever get over this kind of loss & never get closure. Its heartbraking Thank you Adam 🇬🇧👧

@@nicholaswilliams4336 I doubt whoever Paulides is that the idea of wormholes/portals/etc originated with him. It's a physics theory. The world is much more interesting when you contemplate the possibilities which lie beyond the senses. Five centuries ago, the earth was flat. Now we're exploring galaxies previously unseen. I much prefer the existence of possibility to your bleak and dull existence.

Lost of memory or being hazy about the time they were lost is not unusual for people who were suffering from dehydration, hypothermia and sleep deprivation. That last one is the result of having to sleep in near freezing temperatures which prevent a person from getting into REM sleep. REM sleep is what actually resets your brain and allows you to feel refresh after a good nights sleep.

Yes, it's ALWAYS a lack of adequate supervision. Losing a child in the wilderness takes a considerable lapse in attention. Most parents wouldn't let the child out of their sight or their arm reach, so the adults in these stories were incredibly irresponsible.

Repeat pattern of kids being found dead at high altitudes but no signs of trauma - altitude poisoning. Denisovan hominin group passed on the adaptation to Tibetan Himilayans. I speculate wild hominin abduction leading to accidental death due to altitude poisoning.

Whenever the adults involved report what happened, it's always a case of turning their back for 'just a moment'. Or the child was 'just ahead of them'. If any of that were true, these children would not have disappeared. A "moment" is ten seconds, not 10 minutes. "Just ahead" is six feet, not sixty feet. ALL of these cases come back to inadequate supervision. Adults later claiming it was just a moment or whatever, are speaking from guilt and fear.

These people who end up lost and then happen to be found alive days or months or even years later should try n get hypnotized to see if maybe they have some kinda memory bloslck or something they had done to them or if it's actually due to trauma and not someone doing it so they can't or won't remember cause people just don't vanish mysteriously in national parks and then sometime later get brought back obviously they aren't the ones doing this its clearly someone or something else and still to this day nothing has been figured out
