Well if he was already on the beaten path and it was before his phone call with Lucy that would mean he had a video call with Brad between 8.15(when cafe owner drove past him on the road) and 8.45(Phone call with Lucy). So he got lost in 30mins basically and couldn’t even attempt to turn back? In his phone call with Lucy he didn’t say he had fallen, only cut his leg on a cactus. None of this adds up.

Tell the truth if there is any other truth and risk the potential underworld backlash which could result in death, if thats also true them being involved in rugs. I think he went south of Masca not north, he went the correct way to get back down towards the nightclub area in the south west of the island, but he did go off the road down towards the sea for some strange reason, hes not going to be found for quite a few days it seems because they are looking in the wrong place.

Then why did the woman drive past him walking North? To go towards the sea, you would have to walk South to Masca village, enter the village and walk to the starting point of the popular walk to the sea which has a big warning sign about it being a difficult walk etc and that you can only come back the same way. Masca is popular with tourists and coach loads of them start arriving from the morning onwards, multiple people would have seen him if he went South.

@@mellowmarkable not sure, maybe he realized he was going the wrong way and hitchhiked back to a point on the road south of masca then got out and thought he could walk to the beach, realized he couldn't find the way out so he tried to go back, but he took a wrong turn or tried to do a shortcut, then either stopped due to exhaustion, nightfall or some kind of unexpected medical event, the trail im talking about seems quite tough and hard to reach.
