PINEHURST, Idaho - The body of a pastor who was the subject of an intensive search was found Tuesday evening. Pinehurst Police Chief John Richter said Gene Jacobs was found dead in a mountainous area south of Pinehurst. According to police, initial information suggests Jacobs died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers said there is no apparent foul play, but an autopsy has been scheduled and the investigation remains ongoing.
