Thank you so much for sharing, it so interesting how the v-core driver communicates with the processor, and what signals are required for the cpu to function normally. 👌

Hello, excellent video. But i have a question. I have Asus P4C800 mobo with no post. My diagnostic pci card writes d0 error code and i measure 1,8V at cpu mosfets. What do u think may be the problem??? And is mobo bios rensonsible for these voltage you are talking at the video????

Hello, it was a nice video, but although my motherboard has vcc, vr on, vr ready and vccsa signals, the vcore signal does not work. I changed the SIO. Could the problem be in the PCH?

@@FixTronics Thank you for your feedback. I wonder whether you have had any repair involving what seems to be a buck controller that is marked CPP, on a QFN 2x2 mm package. If you happen to be aware about who the manufacturer may be or what is the part number, it could be quite helpful. Thank you!

You are welcome bro. I don't actually recall if I have encountered such a chip. But try and search for TPS62290 and see its typical application circuit on the datasheet if does match with the one you have and check its pinout like the vcc and the GND pins if they match with yours. I hope this helps you.

The board is operating normally, but the measurements are on the main MOSFET in the processor circuit. The Musphat source gives a negative voltage. Knowing that the voltage on the capacitors and inductors are 1.08 volts What is the reason and what is the fault?
@FixTronics Жыл бұрын
There is two Mosfets at each phase of cpu vcore. One Mosfet is connected to 12v and the other is connected to GND If you measure at the first Mosfet with respect to GND you should see 12v. The other as I saied is connected to GND. But if you measure in between the two Mosfets you should see the 1.08v you mentioned. Keep in mind, measuring after the coil gives more accurate and stable readings. Measuring in between the two Mosfets directly will give some fluctuations as the Mosfets are switching. You will need an oscilloscope to measure there

so i do have the vcore voltage but i still have no display issue. what else can i do? please help
@FixTronics2 жыл бұрын
If its a laptop, check the screen related stuff, like voltages, fuses, the wiring, the connector and the screen itself . and if it is a desktop computer, try using a graphic card to try and isolate the issue
@ashe752 жыл бұрын
@MechaTronicsFix so it is a desktop ( lenovo n1996 motherboard) and I'm using a i5 2500 and a stick of 2gb ram. the issue that I'm having is that the fans turn on but there's no display. i tried everything ( reseating the cpu, moved the ram from a slot to another, cleared the cmos, changed the cmos battery to a new one, i tried the integrated gpu and i also tried with a gpu: gtx 1650) but still no luck. there's no beep sounds coming from it or any lights on the keyboard (numlock/capslock). I'm pretty sure the motherboard is dead...

How can we tell if the CPU is shorted thanks
@FixTronics2 жыл бұрын
Its actually hard to tell when the cpu is bad Because last week I was working on a motherboard that powers on but no display and no keyboard light and all voltages were correct I tried everything to avoid replacing the cpu to no avail, and eventually I had to replace the cpu and that solved the issue!!!

VCC SA and VCC IO name is not available in my motherboard core IC. my core IC number AST1255D motherboard Asus H81M-CS
@FixTronicsАй бұрын
Sometimes VCCSA and VCCIO are referred as IMC Voltage (Integrated Memory Controller Voltage) Note that both VCCSA and VCCIO are different power rails and are not related to VCore IC
