Solid work, man. I had my suspicions since the start of the animation that the depressing feel of the environment, C13 herself and the ambience had to be related the reveal near the end. The build up certainly paid off with the reveal too. I personally really enjoy these slow-burn atmospheric animations, and the whole idea of the clones just screamed SOMA in my head. Well done.

3:28 Chuck McGill Jokes aside this was incredible. This and Assault on 2Fort are some of the finest female protagonist-led stories I've seen in SFM. The animation was fantastic, and the slow reveal that she was the only person on the spacecraft with all of the bodies of her past selves really reminded me of a Doctor Who episode Heaven Sent where he finds all the skulls and later realizes that each one was his and he's forced to repeat his experiences over and over until he escapes. Anyway, fantastic work my dude.

Are you telling me that a woman just happens to fall like that? No! He orchestrated it! Jimmy! Heh thanks very much! ^^ Lolripk's Assault on 2Fort is definitely one of my go-to videos for inspiration, as well as Triumbrush's Bad Day series. The concept of a time-loop film like Groundhog's Day and Edge of Tomorrow intrigued me and I wanted in a similar way to make this. Even though the days do pass-by and time goes on, they're still the same same in a confined space with limited activities and tasks. Glad you liked it!

Holy shit... That was sad, in a good way? I mean.. damn.. So Earth is uninhabitable by some some nuclear holocaust. A survivor made it to the moon, lived on said moon and cloned herself so she can continue a process to watch over the Earth in a sad life cycle of cloning... Damn that hits hard and to boot, she's actually hot! Throughout the animation, I can feel the sense of determination slowly ebbs into despair and hopelessness as C13 keeps failing her DNA test to bring forth a new clone. Hell, her skin turning pale was a good detail too, evident of her nearing her life expectancy. However, I do wonder how they are gonna repopulate Earth with just her around... Maybe those human boxes actually suggested more than they seem.. Regardless, I also love the rulebook she set for herself. Pretty neat stuff. Anyways a wonderful animation Dominzki! Here's to C14 to continue the cycle!

What I have understood her whole life is basically a loop since that's her 14th clone But every time she's close to her end she decides to make a clone of herself and copy to a new one Since the last one took her 5 years of DNA research now her next life expectancy is 12 years Probably as the years go by she could probably go 20 years or more Also it's amazing how she can cope being isolated in a space station It's really something impressive Animation overall is 10/10

Good news I autisted out a little and made a calculation that if we assume C1 lived for a whole year and ever later C lived at least as long if not longer and it's an exponetial growth with a linear factor, also that C1-C13 lived for 29 years then C16 will have a normal if not longer amount of lifetime.

This is a *really* incredible work. I have a really bad attention span, but this managed to keep me in for the full 8 minutes, 21 seconds of the runtime. Truly an incredible work of shortform science fiction, and a wonderful animation as well as a wonderful story. Side note, it's highly reminiscent of the 2009 movie *Moon*. I don't know whether that's intentional, or a case of two people coming to the same conclusion independently, but still, incredible work.

I get the message and all and i know it's sort of meant to be vague but I can't help but ask questions. The core manual states that it was made in 2024 by Mann co, and is apparently the first version of the manual, with it also being labeled as confidential, meaning that this is most likely not a thing that people are doing all over this world, and that Mann co is the only one. The alarm clock also states that it is 2055, meaning that It has been 31 years since Mann co at least started preparing for this. This means that it is more likely that in 2024 or so, Mann co, realizing that the human population would soon be wiped out and sent a person and a cloning machine into space to try and eventually repopulate the Earth. However, the section titled "welcome new clone" and this being the first version of the book could mean that there was no original person that was cloned, at least in Space Station Phoenix. Most likely they either sent C1 directly to space or C1 being cloned directly on the station. Questions: - Why can there only be one clone on board at one time? (just realized that that was under the section titled "Saving Rations And Resources" so that's probably why) - Why were they so concerned on the clone's exercise? (possibly because they want to create a healthy clone that can survive for as many years as possible, which explains the joy after seeing the life expectancy of C14) - How are they even planning on repopulating the Earth with clones? - Why didn't Mann co make a ship for themselves and bail if they saw this coming? Most importantly, - what happened back on Earth that caused any of this to happen? I know it may sound counter intuitive but I do love films like these that make me ask these sort of questions. The animation and atmosphere is amazing, you can really feel C13's tiredness and later on, relief and relaxation when she gets, well you know. Thanks for putting in the effort into making this masterpiece of work and I'll be subscribing in case you upload anything else. Peace and good luck. (Boy this is probably one of the longest comments I've typed and I feel like C13 doing her work right now but that's just how much I love this.)
@Dominzki Жыл бұрын
Ahh I love comments that go deeper into the video! Thank you! ^^ You're very well on the tracks of the story. Hopefully I can answer your questions well enough: 1. The book indeed answers that, as having more than one clone could perhaps boost the research with two brains thinking and helping each other at once, but since the fate of humanity seems to lay on one station in space with limited resources, they can't risk it running out too early. 2. Exercising indeed is to keep the clones healthy enough to continue the work and also to keep them sane. 3. As you may have seen in the end at the room with the termination and cloning pods, there's also the army of crates with types of humans, animals and plants. These crates contain thousands of different DNA samples so that Earth can start anew with a diverse population, instead of just a clone army waiting for order 66. 4. That has been left vague on purpose in case I will explore that story branch further in the future (maybe I already have a script for it, maybe not ;P ) 5. As stated in the book, most likely case was a nuclear annihilation caused by decades of conflicts that spread across the Globe. Although the book says that because Mann Co had been preparing for the possibility of nuclear war, it is not revealed if that was the true reason or not. It was a pleasure to read your comment and see how my project has given space for speculation about the story and the world in it, makes this all so worth it! I was, if you can believe, quite hesitant by the end of making this if the story would be too weird/complicated/boring for the audience, but I was delightfully surprised by the reception! You'll be happy to hear also that a sequel has been fully scripted already, though its release will take quite a while ;D

Wonderful but also very sad, the thought of waking up to see you're a clone and your job and only purpose is to improve the life span of your replacement and prepare for a future you will probably have no place in due to your life span. Wanna hear something gross? You could make a clone with raw organic materials, a proper cell and an optimal ambient. This all can be made of rests of other humans or clones. Food, water, cloning components, and even the ambient for cellular reproduction inside a uterus could be obtained from the bodies, instead of sending them to decompose elsewhere. Also, the clone must had a social factor suppressor, or she would had gone insane, this means in Earth there was a better DNA modifiers, didn't those made it to that sputnik (appropriate term in the wrong language, just to bother readers)?
