There are many students in India who are very much capable of becoming a Doctor. It's only because of inc0mpetent govt that cannot allocate required number of seats for a outgrowing population which needs many doctors, The students couldn't get seats in govt colleges so they are forced to go outside India in order to get the mbbs. So the people who couldn't get seats in govt colleges doesn't mean they are not capable, it's just the competition is very much and seats are very less.

People who have reached the cut off from 10 years ago but today the cut off keeps on increasing due to limited seats. The entrance test is supposed to be merely a qualifier test, raising these cutoffs to crazy high doesn't mean those who couldn't reach that level are unqualified to be doctors. I hope you understand this difference ,it is not only in medicine entrance, every indian competitive exams

Earlier people used to get jobs just based on their 10th marks, were they then so intelligent to be compared to today's master degree holder? Absolutely not. It is just that the rise in population has actually raised the standard and thus it needs better people today. So stop blaming the number of seats as this cannot increase to a very high number seeing the automation and technology advancements in today's world. You cannot just not expect yourself to be one in the list because you never know that another person has better capability than you.
