Mission Hydrogen Webinar: How to Use Fuel Cells in Ships

Delivering a Mission Hydrogen-supported educational event in March 2023, Ballard hosted an in-depth webinar focused on: “How to use fuel cells in ships” - using the MF Hydra - the world’s first ferry powered by liquid hydrogen - as a case study.
The MF Hydra is Norled AS’s DNV Type Approved zero-emission ferry, which will sail on the triangular route between Hjelmeland-Skipavik-Nesvik in Norway and is powered by Ballard’s FCwave™ fuel cell module.
The webinar was chaired by Ballard’s Mark Kammerer, sales and business development director, EMEA, with expert input from Norled’s Ivan Østvik, project manager, and Thomas Therkild Petersen, product line manager, marine and stationary, Ballard.
