They should have spent a bit more energy on the script writing and story than the lighting! Jeez! Well, they probably had to use all of those loser SAG writers that are striking instead of someone that can actually write. Took me 24 hours to watch this movie because the writing bored me to tears! And the action was definitely not as good as Fallout. Not the best MI movie. AND....why 2 hours! They could have cut 90 minutes out of it. Rotten tomatoes 60 or 70 at best.

Reminded me of Jon Hamm's story on that as well. @tannhauser5399 Жыл бұрын
@samuelvasquez7113 - because it is entertainment, nothing more. Something that gives people a chance to get away from day to day problems, issues, work, or simpy be entertained. And there is nothing wrong with it. You want some serious issues... go watch French movies, or from some other countries, some of them will break your spirit in half. And some have that enough in their own life, day to day living. They don't need to watch it in the movie. This is Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise. Pure enterteinment, and a chance for you to forget about day to day issues (we all have them, and yeah, we know the world is unfair, exploitation stil exist everywhere, wars are constantly happening, some people are cruel, corporations are ruling everything, while the whole ecosystems are dying in the name of profit, greed and next year stock market price, and in a lot of places people are treated like a commodity, just to be used - and more). But maybe once in a while, we simply want to forget that, and just be... entertained. Just for a short moment. And that what Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise is actually delivering.
@UmbraFulgur Жыл бұрын
@@tannhauser5399, in a way. We watch movies, read books (fewer every day, unfortunately) to escape reality, of course. But also to emphasize and exacerbate certain states and emotions that we almost forgot in the monotony of everyday life. However, we watch movies to anchor ourselves in reality, to become aware of the reality. Paradoxically, today, the media from which we expect a reality check actually transposes us into fantasy (of the worst quality, but still fantasy), and fiction movies and books give us the real measure of the life we actually live. What I meant is that in an absurd way, you're both right.

I just had to respond to this. What's hilarious is- I interviewed Vanessa a few years ago for F&F. (I was so thrilled as I had watched her in The Crown and was enraptured.) She and I had this epic interview- we just roared and had a blast- in the thousands of interviews I have done this rarely happens where you get on this well and an actor says afterwards that we need to be friends. It was one of the most incredible times I have ever had interviewing anyone. I was beyond excited to see her again. As soon as I walked in she said 'you and I had quite a fantastic time together as I recall'. At the end of this interview as I was leaving she said, 'just amazing questions thank you- wow!' So just leaving this here for you. Also as a rule of thumb whenever I interview more than one person no matter who I give equal time to all guests.
