The fact that Tom Cruise does his own stunts gives the director the option to use long, close-up shots and that really puts the audience into it. It's a visual experience that CGI or stunt doubles cannot give. Gotta hand it to Tom Cruise to be such a perfectionist.

Did this movie remind anyone of The Dark Knight? It started with a robbery, with a mask off-face reveal. There was an armoured truck heist with a person inside as the target Then there was a motorbike running around the streets There were also two bombs, that were linked to one another He even fights two-face at the end!

M:I - Fallout is one of the best action movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so far the best of the year. Infinity War is No.2
@kylemaw9886 жыл бұрын
9:27 The finale also mirrors the end of Mission Impossible 2. Ethan and the main villain have a vehicular chase that ends with the two vehicles ramming into each other. They land on a rocky surface and settle things with a fistfight. I thought it was a fun way to call back to what many see as the worst of the franchise by showing that Ethan’s skillset from that movie (specifically, rock-climbing) ends up saving the world.

Totoro San Well yeah, but I think in a real scenario people would be in there all the time (like those fancy restrooms in hotels and such) or in short turns. Even so, I bet the bathroom would be that much clean, because people who walked in would have their shoes sole wet from the dance floor (thanks to every person with a drink/beer in a crowded area).

There were so many nods to The Dark Knight, it was astounding. From the fighting styles to Walker getting half his face burned to even that scene were Ethan and the team has to break Soloman out from custody in that cavalcade. They were purposefully diverted to a street under the bridge and they even knocked the SWAT truck into the river.

What a double-edge question to ask! No, I don't *need* Tom Cruise to do all his own stunts. In fact, the I:M series has begun to feel like an excuse for Cruise to *do* insane stunts. And get paid for it😉 On the other hand, with CGI being used more and more to portray villains and "epic final showdowns," it is quite the thing to see the action play out IRL. It makes the threats, the dangers real - it hightens the intensity and raises the stakes. So no - don't need Cruise to do all the stunts, but do need the "danger" to be "real." Great video by the way Eric. Wasn't planning on going to see I:M Fallout but now I kind want to😁

The call back to Max is brilliant. It's not made to be a big deal, and that's how I like call-backs to be. Watching the movie after having binged the previous five, I got a bit of a jaw-drop in the cinema when Widow mentioned Max, but I knew most people wouldn't make that connection, so I stayed quiet and told my friend about that later.

One of the best films of the year. Tom Cruise get's a lot of smack for doing his own stunts especially from other actors and actresses but I think most movie goers can tell when it's a stuntman or the actor and when he does the stunts and you can see the real face and reaction of the performer there is just another level of immersion for the audience and keeps us engaged. So all in all keep up the good work Tom Cruise! Im loving it!

how come the bad guys never swapped the hostage for the plutonium they ended up with both
@yurenchu6 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I wondered about that too. The White Widow had already arranged the meeting in London and phoned the details to Ethan, so I guess John Lark's henchmen or "The Apostles" intercepted the communcations somehow, went to the meeting and took the plutionium by force. Or maybe there was no real seller at all, it was the Apostles who had the plutonium and who merely _pretended_ to be willing to trade the plutonium to whoever is able to free their leader/comrade, Solomon Lane. It's a bit strange that Walker (who is actually John Lark, as it later turns out) initially protested vehemently when Ethan suggested that Ethan, Benji and Luther would go to the meeting and that Walker should babysit Lane; but then later Walker resigns to it, not knowing that Ethan was going to test Walker's loyalty instead of actually going to the meeting. Also, it's not clear to me how Ethan and Luther convinced Walker that the "Solomon Lane-lookalike" who was leaving with them was supposedly Benji in disguise, and not the real Solomon Lane. (Or maybe Solomon Lane hadn't met John Lark before and hence doesn't know that Walker is Lark.)
