Okay I'm going to be honest, I wasn't even born when it was aired (I was born in 2007) but as a Greek I watched the dub and it truly built my childhood and made me know about my ancient mythology in a fun way. I really enjoyed this show. It's sad it had to end.

I am Greek and born in 2004 and I guarantee you this animated show is one of the best. Odysseas or Ulysses is my favourite, ancient Greek hero! Even if some of the episodes were never actually mentioned in the scripts and many parts are completely fake, the most important thing is the messages this show wants to give to the audience (at least in my humble opinion); 1) you can't succeed without teamwork, 2) expecting someone else to do your job (someone else = Goddess Athena) which confirms the ancient Greek expression (συν Αθηνα και χειρα κινει) which means together with your God achieve your goals, don't expect solving your problems by sitting around and doing nothing. 3) it's not a "sin" that you argued with your friend, it's a "sin" when you never behave like friends again. 4) Be brave, be optimistic. 5) Appreciate every moment of your journey/life, because when you reach your goal/destination/Ithaca/death, you can never go back. 6) Be kind to the people who love you. 7) It is when you forgive, you show your real power. 8) Any obstacle can be passed if you don't let your feelings get in the way when thinking and concentrating enough. As a Greek I have to say this series totally buchered the mythology of Odyssey but damn was it a fun show! XD I remember getting greek dubbed episodes with some newspapers years back and watching them. It is really fun to watch and pass the time but certainly not to learn mythology! Hehehe! It had cool designs by the way and if there is anything this show surely did well was to show the rivalry of gods when it comes to their interests! XD. Greek mythology has plenty of those (even if they were more common in Illiad than Odyssey)

Believe it or not I am from Greece and I have to tell you that it's very loosely faithfully based on the Greek mythology. But one thing is certain: the show itself is miles better than some of the modern cartoons in ourdays.

I saw this as a kid with Finnish dub and suddenly in the middle of reading Percy Jackson books, I happened to remember this and am trying to find the episodes... this was so good series.

0:21 Looking back with Nisa and her being in troy also gave hints and implied by the writers she was capture from her homeland and was to be sold as a slaves hints from her dress rags and arm bands also her seashell neckless hints she was to wear it to look ladylike but when the battle for troy happen she might've found a way to get out hinting why she was at the market was looking for food

We need a prequel series set in Troy during the Trojan War, with Odysseus, Titan, Philo and Diomedes fighting Trojans. And to see also Nisa' s backstory and adventures inside the city. This will never happen, but we can always dream.
