In the story "Dust of Snow", Robert Frost has used 'crow' and 'hemlock' as a symbol of sorrow. However, writers mood was full with grief but when crow shook off the hemlock tree a dust of snow fell on writer changing his mood. This shows that sorrowfull things can also help to change our mood.

In the poem "Dust of Snow", crow and the hemlock tree represent sorrow and reflect the sad mood of the poet.However, when a dust of snow falls on the poet by the movement of the crow who was sitting on the hemlock tree, the mood of the poet completely changes and he becomes happy. He decides to spend his rest of the day in a happy mood. In this way the dust of snow stands out as a source of joy for the poet.

In contrast to the poem, They both represents- joy and tells that "Nothing in the world is inouspicious". The setting of the poem showcases that poet was intially in a gloomy mood that has been marked by the use of hemlock tree (a poisnous tree).However as soon as the dust of snow shook on him by the crow which seems to be insignificant turns out be a source of joy for the poet .Through his poem the poet has tried to break the old belief and norms and conveys a message whether it is a crow ,hemlock tree or dust of snow ,each element of nature can provide us solace and fill us with postivity.
