Hey Jason! Funny enough, i always skip that Mission until i learned about it a few months back. I plan to visit it for the North County hidden gems video im about to film... any other suggestions for North County gems?

@jaycation The self realization temple is a great gem in Encinitas, also jeune et Jolie in Carlsbad for French food, the atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant, the French soul funk music they play, one of my favorite restaurants in all of sd. They even have an absinthe spout. Also handels ice cream for sure in carlsbad. Try the Graham central station flavor or oreo dough. Sunshine mountain Vineyard for wine in San Marcos, Small cool vineyard in San Marcos, who woulda thought.

Yes Philly franks is the best cheesesteak on the west coast hands down. I've had Jims steaks in Philly, and Max's, and yes both are fire , but I think philly franks is up there with the best of Philly

Thanks for including East country and Grantville. Often overlooked. Iowa beef 🥩 is hands down the best premier butcher shop for beef, veal, pork, free range chicken. They also have fresh fish when the local boats and wholesalers supply.

Do Julian for the apple pie. The best Pho places in Diego. All the delicious restaurants on Convoy and their happy hours. And do like a Cowles mountain hike / Q&A where you answer people's posted questions while hiking Cowles ( or any hike in Diego. La Jolla Shores is poppin). Love your content man! "didacus of Alcala" , later canonized and is known as Saint Didacus, checkout St. Didacus church on Felton Street in Normal Heights if you ever visit there.....the church is an old spanish style architecture. The school of St. Didacus is also on Felton but over on the other side of Adams avenue south of the church....

As a native to the Allied Gardens/ San Carlos/ Del Cerro area I was personally disappointed to not see Taco Fiesta on your top five lists, and then you drove right by it in this video! That spot is great IMO and their carne asada fries would win a top five contest.

I think missions should not be public places of worship or romanticized as a beautiful place to visit. I don’t think ppl understand that these places although we’re made for religious practices ultimately became “prisons” where Native Americans were slaves forced out of their beliefs, customs and lives, basically choosing death if they fought for their beliefs.
