Difficult for mom or daughter to replicate Fogarty's unique voice, especially on this song. Still a good cover of a song Fogarty has been performing for over 55yrs! I saw 79yr old Fogarty in concert here in Vancouver Canada in August. The video of him playing this song at that show is on YT (John Fogarty / CCR - Have you ever seen the rain - Live at the PNE). The crowd around me in the 17K arena sang from start to finish (some wildly off-key), but the experience was still incredible.

Classic song❤ refreshed by MS❤! Still good musically. Always like your honest reaction sir! Hard to really replicate CCR but Musically instrumentally they nailed it. Maybe next is their cover of Band Maid’s Bestie.. for sure they’ll do better👏🔥

I have to agree with your raw, unedited and honest opinion Brian. It’s not a very difficult song to play but the original’s soul & grit are lacking in this version. It was ok, but lacks the impact of the original by CCR.
