A very nice video. Loved the poetry! Looks like an excellent route. We travelled the river below Aubrey Falls. Well worth it too! Thanks:)

Thanks for the kind sentiments Scott! Glad to hear the river is worth it below the falls - I will have to return to tackle the sequel then! Happy trails to you!

13:00 now there's a sight that would have excited Thomson or any wildlife artist... This was possibly the best version of the Mississagi i've seen ... you really did justice to the history of the place.

Awesome video, and commentary thanks. The sounds of the howling wind are still ringing in my ears, as I just got back from my own Mississagi River trip. We flew on a beaver into Bark Lake and paddled to Aubrey Lake. Many of your camps are the same ones we used. The maze is something everyone should see. On a sad note, the Drift Wood Lodge has been disassembled and mostly scattered about with some piles of wood. We were hoping to see it in its glory.

Thanks for the kind words Dave! Glad you enjoyed your trip out there! Couldn’t agree more - we had a picture perfect day on the maze and I will remember that lazy, winding paddle fondly. All paddlers should get out to this area… I’d love to get back out into that Bark Lake / Lac Aux Sables section one of these days. Sucks to hear about the lodge, but hopefully that island campsite was some consolation- was perhaps my favourite site of the entire trip. Wishing you happy trails!

Great edit. Love the Grey Owl quotes/context. That ramshackle structure you were taking cover in was a rare sight!

Thanks brother! Fun route to do - love diving into the history of these places a bit before getting out there.
