Thank you Coach! It dawned on me we need to use multiple avenues/platforms to promote the event 👍

What is POTA?

Hello Robert! POTA (Parks on the Air) is a program that started as a way to promote radio operators to get out of the shack, operate mobile/portable, and enjoy state/national parks outdoors. Some compare it to be like field day where you set up a station and antenna(s) outdoors away from the shack, or what is the most exciting part to me and many, is the chance to BE the DX station. Having a like up of stations calling to make contact with you. www.pota.app is the site for more info. Here is information specific to the Mississippi event jcmsara.org/mississippi-parks-on-the-air/ Robert as a tech you can get in this fun with a 10m SSB radio! And I would love to meet with you at a park and let you operate as my 3rd party operator on any of the bands and let you get an experience for it. You may love it, you may not. If your interested in that some day in the near future just let me know and we will make it happen👍

@kj5fns Tuscumbia Wildlife Management Area US-7092 is near Corinth. Others just across the line in Tennessee and tishomingo county. Can take a look on the map here: pota.app/#/map yellow dots indicate a park or wildlife management area in the pota database. Tapping or Clicking on the dot pulls up the name and park designator number. You can then click more info and it will take you to the details page of that park where you can see different stats and info.
