Mississippi Public Land Deer Hunting - BUCKS EVERYWHERE

This was one of those days you don't want to miss as a bow hunter. With a cold front hitting and dropping the temps from 90 degrees to the mid-30s, Peyton thought it was the perfect time slip in the woods. After a slow start to the Mississippi bow season, Peyton found a piece of public land that had acorns raining down and decided to give it a shot. He snuck in at daylight and jumped a big buck out of a bed on the way in and also saw a few does feeding on acorns down the ridge from him. He set up on a deer trail that the does had walked across and there was no shortage of deer activity. He watched 18 different deer move from the creek bottom to the bedding area and finally 6 bucks came up the ridge and an 8 point gave him a shot.
