Very interesting - I picked this up in every Georgia game this year. The second halves against Clemson & ‘Bama were the exceptions. Overall, my thoughts are “we are no longer an exceptional team, we are merely a ‘reasonably good’ team…” I think there are many reasons for this - because it is so painfully obvious on both sides of the ball. But perhaps there are just three: poor coaching, poor execution of game plans by the players & the loss of three very key athletes. (Brock Bowers, Stetson Bennett IV & Ladd McConkey). I can count on two hands the number of times that I saw Brock Bowers not absolutely zero’d in on his assignment. Now Stetson was a different story: he did have a number of poorly executed plays. But almost without exception, he led our team through some darned difficult situations. When the pressure was on, he was almost incredible! (That one scramble play, down around the 15 yard line, was astounding - where Ladd was just standing in the end zone to receive the pass.) Ladd was also exceptional in his own right. There aren’t many players who executed above their normal capabilities like Ladd did - giving 105% time after time. Incredible! So, who is executing this way now? Try #47: Dan Jackson. This young man is giving 105% on the vast majority of his plays. And he was a walk-on. I am very sad to say that I cannot say this about #15. Right now, I am expecting us to be a 3 or 4 loss team this year unless someone lights a fire under the coaches first & then starts expecting players to act like a top-tier team. This team does not measure up to the last three years - every game has been excruciating.

I don't want to hear anything about Stetson Bennett because 95% of the fan base wanted this guy benched even after he took us to a national championship you were looking for the next five star recruits so you could replace him.. and all of a sudden now as fans you want to act like you actually appreciated Stetson Bennett, but do you want to know the hard fact of the whole situation? As good as Stetson Bennett was for the two years that we went to the National Championship people seem to forget that we had a generational defense, one of the best defenses in the last 20 years and we're talking about 15 players to get drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, the plain and simple fact is our defense is not as good as it was the last two or three years, now if you want to put all that on Carson Beck, then that's your opinion, I understand the turnovers but against Alabama our defense was getting shredded for four consecutive possessions
