Kelley - I've won and lost a lot at this game. I was told that if you have 2 face cards or A and face you should 3x the 1st bet. if you have 1 push card for $5 you should play the 1st card in case you hit.

You have to count the points or outs so you'll know when to stay. You mentioned the wizard of odds and you can get the information in their video in KZbin.

Yes. I didn't have time to study the strategy. This was a quick trip so I literally watched the video in the description on the plane and that was as much as I knew about the game.

I can't believe they can get anyone to play this game. Yeah, if you catch some pairs you can do alright but the odds of catching a paying pair on the deal is like 80 to 1. Then you chase three outers all night.

3 card bonus is a five card poker hand of the player has the hand is a pair of Jacks or better.

It is for the dealers three cards. You get one to one for a pair and so on for a straight or flush etc. It's a good bet to make on this game because it gives you a slight cushion on all the losses.

You've got to have a large bank roll to play this game, but when it's running good, it's fun. This time, it was best not playing the 3-card ( only 4? Hands would have been paid).

Fun to watch but never see anyone successful at this game (feels like an "old" game from times gone by)...theoretical question - at 5:30 you were open-ended after 4 cards; any 6 or J makes a straight (so 8 cards in 46 earn you 4:1). Normally that's slightly unfavourable odds, but hitting a T, 9, 8 or 7 also gets you a push (so 12 cards in 46 earn a push). Therefore I think it's right to play 3x on 5th street - for each $1 bet, 8 cards earn you $4, 12 cards push, and 26 cards lose $1; every dollar bet has positive EV. You would've lost today of course, so good decision to just 1x :)
