Thank for the post I believe every HBCU deserves some type of positive media exposure and my comments goes out to those with all the negative posts were they really necessary, it just shows how distasteful y'all are. This is what's wrong with the African American community today we spend so much energy bring others down and dawging one another. We don't know the struggles these schools go through to continue to exist my hat goes off to Stillman and MVSU bands may them both continue to grow, of course they not your JSU, SU, NCAT, BCU, FAMU, nor Howard but at least we can give them the respect we all deserve. I'm so tired of hearing ppl say who stole whose sets so fucking what. We all can't be too Mofo petty and stuck up because none of you any better than they are. I think both bands did great for their size and keep up the good work and fuck everybody else as long as you doing with you love to do....

Man I miss SWAC drum majors when everybody had their own style. SU has always had one drum major. Valley also had one DM for many years. Now they have four who are doing JSU drum major routines. Alcorn has Jr. JSU drum majors as well. Go back to what made you different.

Valley's DM style has evolved closer to JSUs DMs. Being from MS, I've watched both bands for over 30 years so I actually do know what I'm talking about. I was at the game when Wavey Dave, the tiger, got into a fight with the devil many years ago. One of my old friends was a Valley DM in the 90s
