I love these nails! As others have said, we keep coming back for the way YOU do the nails, who cares if they aren't exact duplicates of the characters?! I think Oogie looks great, but if you don't like it you won't enjoy making the video, so I say skip it and redo some other time. Do what brings you joy! I also vote for short, raw video for the Advent nails. Just watching you being yourself is what most of us are here for! 💕☺️

I just found you today and I am crazy about you. Not only are you hilarious, but you are incredibly talented. You are much too hard on yourself, I wish I was as talented as you are. I think your oogie boogie is great as is btw. I would hold off on Christmas and either do something like some glittery fall nails or some other cool characters. This is SO good! Hands down for me the Mayor is the scariest character in the movie, followed quickly by Dr. Finklestein. This movie came out when I was in high school, and it's become tradition in our house to play it while decorating the tree. 😂 So now I have two goth girl children who always pull a bit of spooky season into Christmas. Ok, I’m going to add my two cents when it comes to the Advent Calendar, so take it at face value (lol): we are now in the busiest season as nail techs. From Halloween until Christmas I am tired, my hands are crampy, I have to get up earlier, and stay up very late. I have clients that I only see during this season, and then my regulars - all who want over- the-top festive nails. I’m perpetually exhausted, angry, and in my wee spare time, usually quite a bit tipsy! So my advice is to prioritize yourself. With the Advent Calendar, don’t go all out big guns! Open the days box, swatch it or show it, make it short and sweet. We all know the Holiday stress, and we all love you.

Hi Jo, You could file the bottom off and add Zero at the bottom maybe or turn oogie boogie into a baby as he's so small and cute. As for Christmas if it was me as soon as i got the calendar i would open them all right there and then and do one long video using all of them and then split the video into individual ones for ease then all you have to do is upload, then again now that I've said it that also seems like a lot doesn't it, either way though please don't burn yourself out or make yourself poorly over it as its so not worth it please just do what's best for you as we all would rather you be happy and not ill xx

I’m telling you what, the MG gel paints are a game changer when it comes to drawing on nails. I just can’t find any other gel paints that are the same quality. I was able to get one more white and one more black that I still have unopened, so at least I have a bit of time before I figure out what else to use! I actually am getting confident when it comes to nail art. (Now, my next client will request something outrageous and I’ll curl up in a fetal position crying! Lol)

They look great - Sally’s eyes are an absolute bitch to get right. I swear the original animation people hired a Sally’s eyes only person so they looked the same in all the shots 😹. I do love the Oog monster and I think it looks fine we all have to remember we are trying to cram gigantic stuff on the smallest of canvases with some of the runniest mediums available. About Madam Glam I can’t believe they discontinued the their gel paints in favour of those pens (that what I heard anyhow) doesn’t work for the people I know. Re the Christmas nails mid November might be a good time to start and as for the advent calendar maybe just show us what’s in it and if the mood strikes you do a nail - and so us that cute pup of your with a Christmas hat

I'm here for whatever you decide to do. I have a suggestion for the Advent Calendar: wouldn't it be easier, or maybe just less overwhelming, to do two or three calendar goodies in one video? That way you would be uploading every few days instead of every freakin' day. Wearing yourself out to the point where you just want to stay in bed from before Christmas until after New Years is no way to spend the holidays.

Miss Jo, I’ve never noticed your hands shaking or trembling. Funny enough, I take Lithium for anxiety/bipolar/manic depression and my hands shake like a Red Bull-addicted hula dancer. But, hey, it’s a small price for the help I need. Honestly I’m used to it, but when I’m trying to shove my damn debit card into the machine, people will ask me if I need help.
