Miss Little, you did fairly well with making the roti. Just make the dough softer next time. Nothing wrong with using the frying pan to bake them if you don't have the flat iron. You oiled them well too. With practice you will get it right and soft. Don't listen to the naysayers. They are just envious and jealous. I'm an Indian and I learn to make the roti just now after I'm over 60 yrs old. I tried for years and couldn't make it. I haven't even gotten it fully right yet. Your chick peas curry looks tasty. Continue doing what you are doing.

Omg mis little do you believe as a child growing up in St Thomas Jamaica my mother gave all 5 girls pet and mine was "Little Miss" So Mis Little is the Reverse l made Roti with Prawn Curry cooked in the famous Coconut Milk and l am telling lts my Favourite and then made Roti that was complimentary to tge finish dinner l also did season Rice well y There is no Word 3 Cups of Self Raising Flour anc 6 tablespoon of melted butter you may need to add a little baking powder if needed Mixed the flour with warm water and kneed into a ball then cut the Dough into quarter depends on how many you are making Now roll each ball out very thin make circle in the middle spread the entire Dough with melted butter Make around seven cut right through all around the circle of the cut a shape from end to the of Dough t.o the centre place a cup I the centre and then fold each cut piece into the centre then fold inwards and put aside do the same with the other put aside Then next round repeat the same thing again only this time roll out to the size you want your Roti to be and and spread again with melted butter get your fryingpan pan ready with oil and heated then put the Roti straight in and fry until cooked then turn over continue until all is done good luck

The roti was a success, and the guys enjoyed it, but Ms. Little you missed 2 of the most important step in the roti making process, and the dough was too stiff making the dough softer next time, and in order to form the layers and the flakey mess you have to roll out the dough and oil it, and let it sit for a short while before rolling it out again and cooking the roti, the final step is clapping the roti, I’ve been making roti for years, but nevertheless an excellent job and thank you for trying Indian food 😅😅😅
