Yes I believe I was using 20lb power pro braid in this video, if my memory serves me right.

When you physically handle any tuna or similar type of fish, you remove a critically important layer of slime on their skin. They're as good as dead once you handle them. Either shake them off the hook (use barbless single hooks not trebles) without handling them or kill them quickly as you did earlier. Was in Costa Rica in 94 on the Pacific coast - went for an early morning swim and disturbed a huge ray patrolling the gutter - quite a moment.

Thanks for the comment Kieran. I've also seen huge rays while swimming on Costa Rica. You just never know what you're going to see. 👀

That looked like a Giant trevally compared to the typical yellow finned jacks! What a monster!

I was in Costa Rica from January 7 - February 7. I'm back home in the USA now. That's funny about Vallarta! Did we have a conversation? I forget. Either way enjoy Costa Rica! It's a wonderful country.

And the “blackfin tuna” is a black skipjack. Good bait and that’s it. Horrible to eat
@MyFishingCapeCod3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are very bloody fish! Not the best eating for sure.

I like watching your videos but what is up this time to foggy.
@MyFishingCapeCod5 жыл бұрын
The fog is a result of the GoPro camera being in direct sunlight for too long. Basically the camera overheats and creates fog.
