Hopefully they don't release a Hero job in this server in the future, bcoz now in ROM:Eternal love server the hero job take priority and superiority in skill and stats, the 6 original job is now forgotten. So sad. 😔

@@hilmanic28 True, but story/quest was fun/interesting if you haven't done them 3x or more by now, especially that early time machine love story thing, it gets really jarring now lol. As someone w/out a squad, I hit a very high wall, you heard monsters HP have a high spike when they're Lvl 75. My funds for potions and very limited resources couldn't sustain my solo adventures anymore, and everyone was so picky in their parties. I never regretted quitting ever since, but I had fun just watching videos of OP jobs like RM and that water dragon Asura(back when they were still OP), cause it just feels sad not to be wanted by a picky and hyper-competitive party. You can't even have participation rewards cause no one wanted you, never regretted ever since. Maybe see you in the zenny server or something 👋

My gas... I've long since quit ROM due to the gacha mechanics. And seeing this is INDEED a breath of fresh air. They should have started with this in the first place. A classic RO with a facelift. Working with the original classes and balancing their skills will make PVP a lot more fun instead of expanding the class system and jamming in a lot of skills causing imbalance in the game. Not to mention the % deposit of costumes and other items that severely handicaps F2P players. Of course, P2P will always have an advantage, but NOT too much of an advantage since other players can easily catch up. New subscriber, Miss Maven. I'll be waiting updates on this.

I hope they implement a character import from the current ROM servers. Just let them keep the costumes or headgears without the crazy deposit stats. I think it will draw more players, old ones and new ones because It's also tiring to begin again from scratch

Hello Miss Maven, maybe you have a better understanding as an insider of all this information. My Community talked about the new laws in china to limit microtransactions. And a few days after this announcement Gravity announced the Zeny Novice Server. Do you know if this is a plan because of thoose changes in china? If the answer is yes we think they need to make changes or shut down theyr original rom servers in china as well or transfer the characters over to novice server then. Also this could highly mean that they do not release it in other continents because they would lose the big money incommung through gatcha systems there, too. We can just spaculate at the time ^^ but i have friends still playing on the old chinease servers and they are afraid they could lose theyr progress :) Thank you for your Video!

It's a missed opportunity if they don't release it outside china with the BP system; as they say, If everyone is a whale, no on is. It means them few whales would just fight each other. It would be ironic the server is getting older and more maps & features but it gets less and less players, or who plays ROM anymore? New servers aren't even returning ROI anymore cause people know it's a trap for future server-merge.

Cosmetics can be monetized as long as it doesn't have any significant stat boost. Making it rare also works. Everyone wants to be unique so that might help.

Guys it's unlikely this will be released to global, there's bigger player base in China and sea meaning it won't hurt their profits to run a zeny server only. In global , there's already less player and they won't be releasing this kind of server. It's same as other games with monthly subscription meanwhile free to play in KOREA etc.

It's been a year since i've stopped playing rom. Id definitely play if this becomes available in sea. but seeing how greedy the gaming industry is, I wouldnt get my hopes too high. Doram in the version definitely is my favorite and will probably pick doram if the new server opens up.

If you're saying that whales will have advantage when it comes to zenny top up, well, the game still has to monetize it somehow. You can't make a 100% free game. At least this way, even when whales have advantage on Zenny, it would still be up to the market if the items they want are available. Like I said, if you don't like it, don't play it. This is the most even level ground that f2p will ever have with whales

That's the real fair play, 100% f2p like dota and mlbb. If the whale can get advantage by gaining extra loot, battle time, this server is just a gimmick. Nothing different then the old server.

This is fucking huge! I remember the days when I had to top up at least $500 monthly to maintain my DPS character; it wasn't a pleasant experience. I have since quitted playing the game for at least 2 years now. This will make me reinstall ROM if it ever gets released to SEA. Looking forward to its happening!

lol they can easily make tons of money on a non-p2w server by doing monthly Battle Passes. Just give extra dailies/limits and some quality of life stuff and done. It's way more sustainable in the long run compared to P2W that's killing all of their games in record speed!
