I'm a huge fan of DD Gloss (they recently came out with Glaze, they might work better for you) and the way you file makes a huge difference. Perpendicular downwards gives the best results, IMO. If you do left to right or vice versa, it tugs at the sticker and makes those wrinkles/bubbles pop up like you had on your index. It's also better to completely file off the sticker instead of pulling part of it off since again, the tugging motion isn't good on a sticker that hasn't fully adhered to your nail yet. The biggest factor in longevity is staying away from water for a good hour or two after you put them on. If you washed your hands right after the video, that killed the adhesive and they were donezo. I highly recommend their Gloss primer for longevity -- I do a lot of housework and my nails always last two weeks at the very least. You might give Glaze a try. They're still stickers but you cure them for 45 seconds after, making them super shiny and hard.

I use glue with the sticker type press ons and they stay on almost too well. I like them because I don’t have to buff the underside of the press on nail, which saves time.

Very easy to remove excess if you file in downward direction on free edge. Apply clear polish to seal. Mine last 3 WEEKS!

I LOVE their Gloss palettes. They last 2-3+ weeks on me (and I wash my hands all the time). I'm sorry they didn't work for you. I bought the press on ones to try so we'll see how that goes.

I like the designs of the magic press nails, I just pull the sticky tab off of them and use glue and they work perfectly for me.

when you use the stick on nails like magic press use a little glue on you own nail first then apply the magic that what i gotta do😊

They are incredibly hard to file off! Color street are much easier to tear off at the ends...but they are also more expensive

Some people seem to have issues with those press on nails. I use them and the impress ones all the time and they don’t fall off at all!!! I don’t understand the issues because I don’t have any at all. And I’m a dog groomer you’d think they would come off but they don’t until I take them off.

That’s so strange!!!! I do use a base coat and tuck them under my cuticle. Maybe that’s why? And I use the sizes that are slightly too small. Because of their bigger even just a little bit they will come off easily.

With the glue on ones yes they do need a rough surface. With the stick on ones they need a smooth surface in order to stick better. Most people make that mistake because with acrylics and gels you need to file the surface. And with glue ons too. So that’s just what everyone is use to doing. But these are very different. The whole point in these is to NOT damage your nails so why would you rough them up? Dashing diva makes a base coat specifically for the sticky press on nails.

I brought the fake nails because I have short nails, but definitely like the press on design but worried it will peel off because of nail shape

I have never tried the Magic Press, but I can tell you that the reason your "stickers" didn't stay on had a lot to do with the way you applied them, and the fact that you had (according to your description of your natural nails) a very uneven surface to put them on. For those reasons, I find your feedback to be inaccurate and basically unfair. I also feel that you had already made up your mind about them before the wear test.

Yah my natural nails suck lol. And as I said before I already had tried similar products and they didn’t work for me I think I made it pretty clear in the video I was inclined to not love them but wanted to try them anyway. To each their own 🤷🏻‍♀️

I take a nail file and really file down the surface of the fake nail, trim them too if they’re longer, and then I soak each nail with an acetone soaked cotton swab on each finger for about 15 min. After that they come off pretty easily with a cuticle pusher. Usually I can make them last 2-3 weeks!

To remove, I take a file and file them down so they’re thinner and this helps the surface of them to be roughed up, if they’re long I trim them down too. Then I take cotton swabs that are saturated in 100% acetone and soak them for 15 min. At this point they’re mostly dissolved and I just take a cuticle pusher and scrape off whatever is left!

I have purchased several of the dashing diva gel strips sets. They are gorgeous!!! Unfortunately I have never been able to get them to all look good - some nails look great, others have wrinkles:( and as for 14 days!!!? Never last even 7

Thats a shame i dont do nail salons they ruin my nails. So i tried color street and there easy. But i heard these r better. I ordered 5 sets for 40 i also got a gel top coat a uv light top coat and nail protector the cuticle pusher and a glass file. So about 100 dollars. If it works its worth it cus then ordering more will be cheaper. Have u tried to cure them? To last longer or at least a top coat. I guess ill find out in a few weeks

You didn't apply the press on nails right which is probably why you don't like them. You are supposed to prep your nails before applying them to make sure they adhere properly. You are fiirst supposed to file the nail beds to roughen up the texture, then you're wipe your nail beds down with the alcohol wipes provided or alcohol that you may have at home to remove all excess oils, let dry for a couple minutes then apply the nails. My natural nails are horrible, probably worse than yours, however my press-on nails last for over 2 weeks on my fingers and my press on toenails have been on for almost a month.

I do all those things you described. I’ve tried the stick on ones multiple times doing all the steps you’re supposed to do and they don’t work for me, they just don’t sit flush down on my nails so they are just always lifted and thus anytime I put my hands thru my hair, I rip hair out. I just think my nail beds are maybe too curved for them or something, bc the ones where I just use glue work like a charm every time
