I live in quarter horse country and have five of them so it’s a pleasure to see a Foxtrotter for the first time, they’re absolutely stunning! They look very smooth, and I love the carriage of the tail.

40 years ago had my first horse, a grandson of Zane Grey. He was a horse above any other horse around.

"Walk yoir horses please" haha, they always are! This horse club I was in as a kid had plenty of rescued gaited horses, mosty used for the underdevisions because they are so steady. Well, we had one Foxtrotter. I remember the bouncy fast gait (fox trot?) that felt completely different from a TWH's running walk. The Foxtrotter I rode didn't do it as pretty as this, but all her gaits were very confortable. To this day I don't quite understand why they are so unique, but they are.

These are great horses but god it's time to revamp the show scene. You can still be true to tradition without being totally boring and lame. No wonder this scene attracts barely any people that didn't grow up in it. At the VERY LEAST they could update the music

The music has to match the rhythm of whatever gait they are performing. When I was showing (and yes I showed here ar ava for many years) I would listen to the music and try and make sure my mare was in rhythm with the music. The music is not there for entertainment.
