So who cares if Alabama runs rampant on the Sun Belt conference champion? That's like saying you're too afraid to lose so you just don't play. Maybe there's an instance where a G5 team has a easier path through the playoff (assuming the playoff has both P5 and G5 in it) and a G5 school gets into the semifinal or something. Sooner or later, with a full playoff system (say like 16 teams. 10 Conference Champions. 6 At-Large) a G5 WOULD figure out how to beat one of those teams. Also with a 16 team playoff I think the recruiting field would even out a little more because now every school has a shot. They just need to build right and win their conference. Great G5 Schools like Boise St, UCF, BYU (kinda), Cincinnati, Utah State, etc could start dipping into the recruiting pool a little more because now there's more incentive to go play at schools like those in this situation. Just look at college basketball with March Madness. It happens all the time and I think March Madness is the far more popular tournament even though College Football is the more popular sport. But who am I kidding? The P5 is already banning the scheduling of G5 and FCS schools past a certain year (I think it's like 2023). If the Power 5 won't give the Group of 5 any sort of chance then I think the G5 should just break off and have their own playoff system. They can also add the really good FCS schools to their division like North Dakota St., Eastern Washington, South Dakota St., James Madison, etc.

We DON'T have a playoffs, we have an INVITATIONAL, since teams cannot play their way in. We should have ALL conference champions automatically in the playoffs (all 10) and 6 teams should be wildcards, based on their strength of schedule, etc.. All out of conference games should be cancelled, and conference championship games as well. This will reduce the games during the regular season. Independents should be forced to join a conference. This would mean 15 to 16 games to win it all. Clemson was 15 and Oh last year, so basically repeating the same amount of games, or one extra. TV revenue would skyrocket, and many more fans would be locked in. All bowl games should be eliminated since they are meaningless, and many stars opt not to play, fearing injury in anticipation of the draft. Speak on that!!!

ACC is literally just Clemson still, Big 10 has Ohio Stats(fau scored 21 points), Wisconsin, Michigan(struggled with Middle Tennessee)and maybe MSU idk. Pac 12 is just Oregon and Washington ofc. And big 12 has Oklahoma and Texas. Iowa State almost lost to a fcs team, Purdue lost to Nevada,etc.
