It was released as part of their 20th anniversary of Meteora. Lost was written and recorded for Meteora but it got cut because it was too similar to Numb.

I was born in the 90's in a spanish speaking country... but even that being the case, Linkin park became my favorite band just as i saw "in the end" on TV ^^ i was about 6 years old and a lot of time has passed but Chester keeps meaning a lot to me. I was blessed being able to see all of them live by the time "A thousand suns" came up. What about you? What's your Linkin park story? lol

I've seen a lot of this music analyst on this beautiful amazing song from chester and Linkin Park and I've only seen a few analysis cry if they knew the story of chester in what he was going through from depression listening to this song every time has made me cry and the lyrics to this song talks about what chester was going through in life and how he felt when I listened to this song it reminds of leave out all the rest

Linkin Park was my favorite Band and Chester was my Idol ❤️ I love In the End and Lost 🥰 I have also Depressions after Mobbing 😔 I became Cancer last Year and my English Bulldog passed away, only few Days before my Chemotherapy 😭😭😭 I lost all my Motivation, but I listen Linkin Park every Day 🥰 At this Time, I don't have Cancer anymore, I live my Life 💪🏻
