Nah girl you’re making the right choice. You trusted your gut about Atlanta. When I moved to Atlanta in 2014, I met black women who are now my age early 30s who told me they experienced isolation and loneliness to be away from the toxicity of the city mindset of people. It’s hard to develop a healthy social life in Atlanta. There is a reason you chose not socialize. Most of my women friends isolate. There are connections to be made and I’m not saying it’s impossible but the city has a frequency and I think it does not encourage support and friendship and family. Instead I think the vibration is competition, jealousy and celebrity entertainment.

This was such good advice! I love Chicago so I don’t blame you for wanting to go back. Ive lived in Atlanta for 16 years, but have moved back home once and moved to Houston but Ive always come back!! You gotta try things out to figure out where you belong!!
