MISTAKES, MISTAKES, MISTAKES | Picking An Order on BrickLink #10
In this video, Evan picks three orders that were requested to be filmed. Unfortunately, one of these orders is missing a piece! The other two orders were 100% complete though! If you would like your order packed on camera, leave a message in the message section when checking out on BrickLink, and give me a question, or a topic to discuss while I pick your order.

Hello there, Steve here. For the stickers I mainly meant for use with Lego 2x4 or 2x2 tiles to make a sign for your store to exist in MOCs and lego cities. I saw what you did with the Maersk train cars with your printer and the idea came about. I'd pay for them or make it a free with over X dollars purchase. I'm understand that starts to jump into cost so you do what you need to for your benefit of course. As for my order, it was ordered with ideas in mind and what could mesh together. Two main separate ideas. But having these parts on hand for future use and experimentation is always good. I'm a big set collector and I am looking into MOC building. I will gladly share when I come up with a desgin. Thanks again for everything.

I think talking on more than just the order is interesting and also a good way to pick up on some best practices.

Thank you for the feedback Mark! We appreciate it! I think I'll talk about whatever comes into my head while I'm picking. It's cool that you see how we do it and pick up on things! Thank you so much for watching Mark!

I can't believe how much those little dividers cost. Haven't found any cheaper than $8 for 16 of them. You have some awesome videos. I have learned alot through your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make videos!

I like these episodes as they are because they are almost like a podcast so I can do some Lego business why watching you. Keep up the great work. Also I know you have your drawer numbers but do you have a specific area of your wall for bricks or are they random?
@JustABrickInTheBucket

Thank you Enys! It's cool to hear we have something that is somewhat like a podcast that people can kinda just listen to whenever they please. As for your question, it was answered by Paul this past week in BrickSide Chat #20 if you have not yet seen it, but simple answer: No. There is no organization of parts in any specific spot. Just the numbers on the wall.

Hi Evan Can you explain how you have the check mark square and the quantity left in your inventory at the same times in the order page I just tried but the system allow me just to have 1 option at the time Thank you for your time and for your videos

Hello Evan. Can you talk about sales tax on Bricklink. All the people i have bought from on Bricklink never charged me sales tax so i have been doing the same thing when i sell. I am from California and have bought from sellers in California and i still don't get charged sales tax. If you have any more info about this i would love to hear it. Thank you! You're videos are very informative and helpful.

I have the same question for my order picking videos. I am talking about all kinds of stuff. I am also going live for some.
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 4 жыл бұрын
Going live is a cool concept, I just know that if I'm trying to pick orders, talk, AND read chat, it would take me a decade to do even a small order. I haven't actually seen you live, but I go rewatch your picking videos after. They are interesting. I guess we can just talk about whatever and overall, people seem to enjoy it from my experience. Thanks for watching!

Talk about both, the pieces they r getting and random bricklink or other jargon. U could make a series "order fill or fail" and keep track at the end of how many mistakes u made. Maybe have a running counter on screen of how many mistakes u make as ur talking to us.

Do you use the Akro Mils organizer drawers? I'm trying to find a good one to organize my legos
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 3 жыл бұрын
Yep! Akro Mils our the best way (in our opinion) to store LEGO parts, though some people put them in bags inside of large bins where they can store more for the space. That way also costs less, but in my opinion, Akro Mils (or some sort of drawer unit) is the best.

Say whatever comes up in your mind when picking an order. Maybe some history on the part being picked up? Popularity of a piece? Try to guess what the person is building? I would also be curious to see what the video would look like if it was coming from a GoPro mounted on your chest.

Question: if you are a little backed up in picking your orders, are the pieces that were ordered already out of the bricklink store to prevent that you get more orders than you have pieces in store ?
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Once an order is placed, BrickLink removes it from your digital inventory which makes it so other buyers are not able to purchase the item. This prevents overselling parts in your store.

Where do get the mini ziploc bags?
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 3 жыл бұрын
We get them from amazon. They are DiRose brand, and we usually get them in packs of 1000. There are some cheaper ones other places, but this is the most convenient for us. Thanks for watching!

4:12 Couldn't you just rig a cheap tv/monitor above the storage rack to clone the mac's display?
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 4 жыл бұрын
We could, and that was a thought, though we still need a place for the keyboard and mouse, which would go on the picking table anyway, so we just used the free iMac we had access too. It is actually pretty convenient to have two computers in the store now. One person can be picking, while another is parting out or doing something else. Thank you for the suggestion Cziffra, and of course, thank you for watching!
