Yes for single person it should be fine and you will able to save some too.

How many Euros have to be shown at Luxembourg Airport ?

They never ask to show euros at airport. If you are carrying cash more than 10000 euros you need to declare it first. If you are coming on student visa you must have around 1200 euros in account that too need to be shown while applying for Visa not at airport.

I would suggest €7000 for safer side. But totally depends when you get your apartment sorted and whether you start receiving salary before that.

Additionally in worst situations if there is no embassy there, they definitely will have tie-ups with other countries. For example Sri Lanka do not have lux embassy so all the works related to embassy happens in India Lux embassy
