Your layout has gotten huge! You've show a great deal of patience in your construction, something I sorely lack.

yeah, time and patience is the key

Oscar I just found your page and I'm looking foward to learning your tips. My layout is just a simple 4x8 but I have totes full of track amd switches to grow. Learning from others like yourself will be so helpfull, as I have zero artistic abilities.

You can still use the failed clay bricks for a dilapidated building, a failing retaining wall etc. Love the progress!!

Oh wow, i hadn't though of that! GREAT IDEA!!!

That's going to be way-cool! Having multiple levels makes a layout so much more interesting. Thanks for sharing your work . . . very entertaining (especially when the pointy-finger makes an appearance!!!) 👈👉👇☝

Have you thought about running your layout around the edges of the room and opening up the middle? That would allow you to run larger curves.
@oscarso-gaugetrains Жыл бұрын
hey! love your layout by the way! I did at one time but the room isn’t big enough to do that and give me the space I wanted for buildings and structures.
I want to kinda do a small one train scale layout before I get up to a big scale. To practice plaster and effects. One day I would love to do a horror movie one with the classic monsters

How do you like the FastTrack? Do you need 2 run more feeder wires 2 power the whole layout ive heard the fast track doesnt distribute current well i dont know....so give me your professional opinion what you think im gunna build a layout and wondering what kind of track 2 use
@oscarso-gaugetrains Жыл бұрын
I use terminal track every 8- to 10 pieces. I also keep feeder wires less than 24 inches long. haven’t had many issues at all.

But in real life bricks are never perfect that is one of the better things about modelling.. things stuff up just like in reality...
@oscarso-gaugetrains Жыл бұрын
I’m slowly finding that to be true 😂

We learn by making mistakes The brick wall pieces that didn't come out just right are perfect for marking WWII bombed out building ruins. .

Like the o scale for the size....but don't like the third rail track, and the rolling stock is to toy like looking......not as detailed as the h.o.
