Thanks Lisa, I upped my price today with one of my students and it was easier than I expected! All I had to do was be honest and now I’m in my bag 😄💰

🥰 How many of you think you have limiting beliefs that stop you from achieving your full potential? Comment 'I!' 🙋🏻♀️

At the 5min mark, you mentioned to have started leveraging your credentials. Expand on that please as being a tutor myself I really don’t see the need to teach a topic with credentials like a teaching qualification. Personally in the past until now, once I start to say to myself I need to have a teaching qualification because other tutors have it then my self-limiting belief pops up which I ignore knowing that triggers it. I just have a Bsc maths/stats degree which I teach young pupils.

@@shabiib1520 Hi Shabiib! Thanks for your question. I definitely agree with you that it's not essential (at all) to have a teaching qualification in order to tutor. That's why like to define credentials more broadly, including your subject knowledge (a Bsc in your case), tutoring experience (e.g. X years tutoring) and/or past student successes. All of these things can help to demonstrate your value as a tutor :) P.S: You might like to check out my free masterclass, which also discusses how to overcome limiting beliefs and build your tutoring business. Oooo, thank you. I had been tempted to offer a low "intro" price but I also knew I wouldn't attract the kind of client I want long-term. This helped!

What's your advice on part time students who are looking to start tutoring as a side job? How would u recommend them to start getting into the tutoring buisness and they want to gain more experience in tutoring.

What if, hypothetically, I am high school age tutoring high schoolers? Even $50 seems like a lot per hour/session.

If you are charging $50 an hour and a tutor online from another country offers the equivalent of $10 an hour, you have to think what to do.

This video would be better if it didn’t seem like all these little segments were stitched together in a manner that every 30 seconds it seems to just suddenly fast forward.
