I have finally managed to get my Hilux stuck. Properly. While searching for a wonderful place to camp for a few days, I was too quick and did not check the roads before driving them. And then it happend. Deep down in the sand.

Next time lower your tire pressure, Save a lot efford for the car, But you shure had your workout 👍

A workout it was indeed. 😄 Yes, I have figured it out after driving proper dunes. I never thought what tire pressure would do in sand. I thought it's "nice to do" but actually you often don't even need a 4x4 if aired down.

Brother, I love your videos! Great work. I just wanted to recommend you to lower your tire pressure to lower psi, I live near the desert in northern Mexico and my 4x4 is about 2.2tons and I go as low as 10psi and it feels great, if your 4x4 is too heavy don't go that low when you are stuck, for dune driving maybe 15psi would be nice 👍. Hope you are doing good and enjoying your trip!

Hello and thank you for watching! :) Thanks also for the advice! I am figuring it out slowly, experience after experience. Meanwhile I was driving in the dunes with low tire pressure, not even in 4x4. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes! I never thought it would be such a big deal. Thanks a lot!

Zwei Starrachsen schonmal gut hast du ne Sperre hinten ? Tolle Action für die vor der Glotze aber mit Luftdruck absenken und gleich Sandbleche wärste schneller kräfteschinender gereist. Zumal du schon sehr breite Auflage hast.

Sperre hinten, genau. War aber da außer Funktion. Nur Luft ablassen hätte mich da easy rausgeholt tatsächlich. Da war ich aber viel zu faul für, weil ich nicht dachte, dass das so viel hilft. Mit ultra wenig Luft in den Reifen bin ich sogar ohne 4x4 durch den Sand Mauritaniens gefahren.

Man I really enjoy your videos! Have been to Morocco and the Sahara last year too. I got kinda sick of watching overlanding KZbinrs lately but I have to say your videos are so refreshing and have such a great and different vibe. Would love to know more about your truck and setup which looks amazing btw. Even though that might be one of the refreshing elements of your videos... that it's not so much about your "sick rig" and more about the adventure :) Anyways, do your thing! You're very good at it and you deserve a lot more subscribers!

🙏🏼💚 I don't even know what to say. What an amazing compliment. Thank you so much! I don't want to have a channel where it's about the car. Of course, it is very important part of the journey for me, but I don't want to have a channel about off roading and I also don't want it to be too technical. It's about the journey and not the gear you have. Sure a capable car helps, but some people do the same thing in a Toyota Yaris. What's unique is the experience, the interactions and the perspective on things. Even the landscapes stay the same, but the travellers perspective is not. I will try to make a video about the car at some point. Anything you have in mind specifically you would like to know, so you don't have to wait for a video? Thanks again for your kind words. Feels good, it is a crazy amount of work going into one video. Sitting on the next two right now...

I live in middle east for 17yrs and I'm very often in the desert. Remember, for what you are doing, you don't want to damage your engine, gearbox and/or differentials... will be nightmare for your adventure. Just use the least effort always. For your case, you should have taken your tyres pressure down to 10-15psi.

Yes airing down makes a world of a difference. I have lockers but bead locks? That's something you will never need on an overland tour. Maybe it's something you are cool with in the US of A but far, far away from being a real life essential.

You need to reduce the air in your tires to be able to drive on sand with ease.

Yes you are absolutely right. By now I have figured it out. I was too lazy before. (and still am sometimes to be honest) But it's insane how much difference it makes.
