Exciting stuff. Project is exploding and hopefully all this research should be transferable when a new fpga system comes out so well future proofed.

It's great that the project is open source, which will help it live on with other FPGA platforms. Jotego also compiles most his cores to to other FPGA platforms (MiST, SIDI, NeptUNO).

Thank you for the review of 2022. I jot down many new arcade games try. A series that has been "missing" though, is the Raiden series by Seibu Kaihatsu. I believe Jotego got a Raiden II board a couple of years ago, not sure where that is on the roadmap, hope we get it in 2023!

Thanks! All the songs were from two Neo Geo games I had in the 90's (Magician Lord and Riding Hero). The specific one you mention of from Stage 3 of Magician Lord.

Definitely not. TMNT should be coming out soon, the NARC & Smash TV developments will help out with Mortal Kombat, and Irem M92 core (In the Hunt, R-Type Leo) is up and running but not released yet, there's so much more that we can get out of the MiSTer project.. I'm excited for what 2023 will bring us

No. Even N64 and Dreamcast is wayyyyy too complicated. FPGA reproduces the logic elements in chips on a real hardware (a console for example), and the DE-10 Nano used a base for the MiSTer project has around 110 000 Just the graphics for the PS2 would require 10 times this. There's never going to be GameCube on the MiSTer. If you want GameCube, why not try Dolphin on your PC? it's a very good software emulator.
